I love to paint and draw, take photographs and make things.

I work from home: painting, sketching, designing, learning songs. That is my life. Sometimes I go to art shows and places where they let me sing. That is also my life.

My employment history is a bit of a jumble. I studied English at university in the '80s and did my OE in Europe in the '90s. I’ve been a librarian, an editor, and a clown (long story), AND THEN I WENT TO ART SCHOOL. In 2010 I took a short course just for fun. And I loved it. I loved everything about it. I stayed for three years, survived a lot of earthquakes (along with the rest of Christchurch) and left with a Diploma of Communication Art and Design.

I have turned some of my art into small, affordable prints which I like to call ‘note cards’ ~ all other work sold here is ‘one of a kind’ because the texture of an original artwork, the brush strokes, the way light plays on the surface of a canvas… some of the things I love most about painting… cannot be reproduced in a print. I am, however, happy to ‘reproduce’ my work by commission. Please see my FAQs for details.
