About me

In 2006, looking for some sort of recreational activity, I enrolled in a two-hour course at a beading store. From the basics of beading, I quickly developed the urge to make real jewelry, going on to teach myself wire work from magazines. Eventually I found the time to enroll in some metalsmithing courses, and I have been designing, making and selling fine jewelry ever since.

Choosing the stones for my designs is perhaps the most important part of the process for me. I use natural precious and semi-precious stones, almost all of them individually cut by hand rather than by machine. This allows me to choose carefully among them for the particular shape, size , color, pattern and texture best suited for the intended design of each individual piece. In the rare cases where I use enhanced stones (dyed, colour enhanced, etc), I make full disclosure of the fact to the buyer.

I put a great deal of thought and care into the design and execution of every piece I make, and while this might make some of them hard for me to part with, it leads to a lot of personal satisfaction with the results.
