At a young age I had dreamed of being a fashion designer. I was obsessed with fabrics, textures and building a tactile piece of art that was both beautiful on display and utilitarian as a piece of clothing. As I got older I shied away from fashion due to the hectic and competitive nature of the industry. I ended up getting my start as a painter, but as a perpetual explorer and collector, my unbounded creativity has found many outlets since. Over the last few years I have added weaving and felting to my creative repertoire.

I like to play with the balances between clean and rough textures, bright and muted colors, precise and untamed lines.
I am inspired by textiles of many cultures, particularly ceremonial decorations and dress. Nature: tree bark, wool, dried flowers, moths and birds, just to name a few.
