...original artwork in ancient Oriental painting techniques...

My artwork is created on handmade rice paper in natural inks and mineral pigments, just like it used to be for centuries in China and Japan. These paintings are not copies, each one is unique and handpainted by myself in my Budapest studio. Please see descriptions of each listing for sizes and additional information.

I am also open to custom orders! If you would like me to create something special just for you, please send me a message.

I am a true globetrotter, born in Minsk, raised in Siberia, educated in Moscow and China, and now living in Hungary. For over two decades I had a passion for traditional Oriental painting and now I am thrilled to share some of my art with the world. My paintings are a spiritual quest to my inner self through the simplest things of nature and everyday life, which never ceases to be an inspiration.

I am an internationally acclaimed artists, my paintings got several awards at international exhibitions in Japan, China, Europe and the United States.

I send eligible orders by registered mail with a tracking number, free of charge, anywhere in the world. If you need your order to be delivered quickly, you can select DHL courier delivery at the checkout (this is a subject to extra fee).

About my paintings

All my paintings are originals (unless otherwise stated). I am working in traditional Oriental techniques sumi-e and guo hua, using natural Japanese ink and mineral pigments on handmade rice paper.

Please note: as I cut the paper by hand, there may be difference in listed size and actual size by up to 1 cm or ½ inch. Please do not arrange any frames before receiving your order.

All my painting are mounted (stretched on another layer of rice paper for durability), have my signature and/or imprints of my personal seals, which is a traditional form of specifying the author in Japanese and Chinese painting. I also include a Certificate of Authenticity for every painting.

I don't ship my artworks in frames for a few reasons:

1. Frames are as individual as interiors and tastes.
2. Frames and framing services are no cheaper in my country than anywhere else.
3. The cost of shipping and packaging of framed artworks would be prohibitively high.
4. Frames may easily get damaged in transit and damage the artwork.

That's why sending my works framed is not practical. Using a local service will be less expensive and more secure.

Framing of my works is no different for than framing of other paper products: although rice paper is very thin and delicate, all my paintings are stretched over a second layer of rice paper which makes them as durable as regular paper, so the process of framing is exactly the same.
