About

Artistry in every handknit stitch.

Welcome to luxurious, finely crafted, handknit fashion accessories and clothing. Each item is artistically crafted with the finest yarns and professional attention to detail. I specialize in exquisite materials, expert artistry, and sophisticated style.

My mother taught me to knit when I was quite young, and I knitted through Junior High and High School; the last thing I fashioned was a crib set and layette for my firstborn son. Many years later, one of my 14-year-old students was pregnant, and I made a bootie, hat, and sweater set for her baby. Thus began the re-emergence of my love affair with knitting and all things fiber-related.

After leaving teaching, I traveled several states as a yarn manufacturer’s sales rep; it was a dream job...I was paid to go to yarn shops! Since I decided to work from home, I’ve been doing medical transcription for one of the top medical documentation companies. During all this time, my knitting has continued to be a source of contentment, therapy, and creative expression. Anne’s Fine Handknits is a result of popular demand for my work.

I currently live in rural Arkansas with my husband, and my mother lives nearby. One son and his family live in Utah; the other son and his family live about two and a half hours away from us.
