Love the confetti so much!
I opened my Etsy shop a few months after my own wedding; a beach wedding in sunny Fort Lauderdale.
My motivation came from the fact that i simply could not let go of planning a wedding and kept thinking and dreaming about details and projects. My head was still exploding with ideas and almost every day i told my husband: "Oh, why didn't i think of this before? I could have created that for our wedding, too!"
But realistically speaking, there is only so much you can include in your big day.
However, Etsy gave me the opportunity to hold on to my ideas and passion, and my first shop AnnKayDesign ( a wordplay on my initials NK) was born. I sold everything from paper and fabric bridal bouquets, Just Married garlands, backdrops, giant paperflowers, fabric flowers to cake toppers, I Do stickers and smaller stuff for the big day.
My work was featured on countless blogs and websites ( such as Design Sponge, Pottery Barn Teen and HostessWithTheMostess ), and my most popular items were displayed at different Etsy showrooms in Germany and Paris.
Now almost 5 years after my wedding, my focus has shifted to nesting, creating a lovely home, and entertaining in general. And here is MingoMade.
