I love the necklace! It is just lovely and now I must find out about the possibility of this HOBE who may have had a part in the design. I can not wait to wear it and the seller was so cooperative and helpful! She really was a friend helping me along! I thank her and her time spent on me. Certainly will be watching her site! It was packaged very lovely and included some Thank You masks to wear over my white medical mask! Sooo nice! And a lovely net bag to spread it out in so it stays in nice condition, not rubbing against itself! Thank you so very much!!

Knitting, Crocheting and Photography. It's a good life!
I have been knitting and crocheting since my grandmother taught me how, when I was around 7 years old. It has been a constant source of fun and relaxation for me ever since and I love being able to share it with people. And while this is a major part of my life, I am primarily a photographer. Below is the bio from my website, Ann Woodall Studios.
"Through photography, painting, collage and whatever else I can get my hands on, I aim to encourage curiosity, appreciation, respect and love for the quirky, and I think beautiful, aspects of our world which float around us every day all the time.
Whether it’s the patterns within a crumbling wall or the slump of a cowboy’s shoulders, I believe there is importance and beauty in the details that surround us. In slowing down and taking time to see, to enjoy and to appreciate detail, the world becomes (or remains) a new and exciting place all over again. A place well worth loving and protecting in every way we can.
It is my hope that the images I bring to the table help instill a more fervent desire to love and to protect our natural world as well as create more appreciation for the rough and tumble aspects of us humans; aspects that can be beautiful in their own colorful, wacky and original ways.
Thank you and have a wonderful day.
Ann Woodall lives and works in Austin, TX. She received a BA in Journalism/Photojournalism from University of Texas at Austin in 2001. She has been taking pictures, knitting hats, painting pictures, cutting up and putting back together fabric, paper and what have you for the better part of the last 20 years."
All of the blankets and rugs that are in my shop were made by me right here in Austin, TX. You can find my handmade photography cards at Woodall Writing Company on Etsy: https://www.etsy.com/?show_panel=true
My main artistic interests include painting, photography, collage and a variety of textile work. Many of these media I have practiced and studied for a number of years now and each day seems to bring new ideas and inspiration for the work I do. I very much love what I do.
I continually look for ways in my work to combine what I do with my strong beliefs of helping to reuse and recycle materials, to conserve energy use and to find everyday ways of rejuvenating and nurturing our tainted environment back to healthy state.
A few of ways I work are:
I rescue, reclaim and reuse yarn from a variety of sources. I pull yarn from sweaters. Friends bring me yarn they find at estate sales and thrift stores. I shred the left-over bits of yarn from projects and, together with wool or cotton, spin it all into new yarn. It's the Great Circle Of Yarn life.
When I put together sets of cards, I created packaging that could be recycled. The boxes are handmade from chipboard.
In my collage pieces I use mostly found paper materials as well as materials picked up at thrift stores and yard sales.
Thank you for your interest in my work and please feel free to contact me if you have any questions.
Have a wonderful day.

Ordering via the internet can be difficult, especially when it comes to getting an accurate sense of size, fit, color, (differences in monitor calibration can be significant) and texture. With all of these factors in play, I am happy to work with anyone who is not satisfied with his or her purchase and who would like a refund. It’s how I would want to be treated and I believe it helps take the risk out of ordering over the internet.
Please note that buyers are responsible for any and all duties and customs charges that may be incurred.
Please note that if you are in Texas, 8.25% sales tax is included with your purchase.
I use recyclable materials for shipping whenever possible.
