About AnomalousMind

Sales 1,959
On Etsy since 2013

I am an artist and craftsperson dedicated to making unique quality items that are useful and beautiful in everyday living.

I have Associates degrees in Fine Art and Small Business Management. I am trying to find my niche and make it unique, wonderful, and all my own. My dream is to one day open an art studio and gallery that is community-oriented and offers not only classes, but a place for creative people to congregate and work on art.
I believe that this dream will come true and I know that I need to start now in order to have the support necessary to not only open my studio, but make it last.

Now that you know my goals, lets talk about my work!
As an artist, I love to experiment; I love to try new media, new techniques, new styles. As part of my creative process I will start with some already established technique, then I will alter it, apply it to different media, and change things up until I have transformed it into something unique and completely mine.
My inspiration comes a lot from nature, both in stylistic/design aspect as well as the system of recycling; taking something that has gone its course, then turning it into something brand new, just as a plant dies, decomposes, and becomes fertilizer for a new plant to grow.
Also like in nature, I try to make many of my pieces as functional objects.
