My Story
After serving my country for 8 years in the US Army/USAR, I returned to my hometown of Ypsilanti, Michigan to pursue my passion. Since then I have been an artist of various medias to include watercolor, wood sculpture and mixed media. I’ve also received a double major in Art & Social Science in 2005 from Eastern Michigan University. However, in 2012, I decided to venture into creating “wearable art” out of my love for minerals, gemstones and Soumak weaving, most of which are incorporated into my creations.
I’ve come to see jewelry as a way to elegantly embellish the body with nature in a direct and inclusive way. It has been my passion to create unique jewelry for those who value the craft as much as I do...every stone has a meaning, and all creations have a uniqueness.

Jewelry Care
My creations contain natural materials. A select few of my stones have enhanced coloring while others are raw and porous. If you opt not to clean the metal, such as those made with sterling silver, a natural oxidation or (antique finish) will occur over time. In some cases, the patina that this process brings is an achieved goal. My creations in copper, bronze and brass can be cleaned with a polish cloth (unless the patina or oxidation is the desired affect).
**It is possible for oxidation to eventually fade in appearance if you consistently wash it with abrasive cleaning solutions. For best results, remove rings when washing hands, showering and swimming. Detergents and soaps will eventually clean the surface thereby fade oxidation over time.**
Gold Filled Jewelry- gold-filled (aka G.F.) creations are made from solid “Gold” and “Filled” with other alloys. Gold-filled wears the same as solid gold because the outer surface is solid gold. This should not be confused with electroplating or gold plated jewelry which is not the same process. By law, you are guaranteed a substantial layer of gold on your gold-filled jewelry so it will last a lifetime with reasonable care.
Fine silver- can be tested to be 99.9% pure silver metal - that missing .1 percent is because it is just not technically possible to remove all the impurities. This silver is more malleable and less tarnishing than sterling silver because of its purity.
Argentium- is an alloy made of germanium (3%) and silver (97%) that is twice as strong as sterling silver and tarnish resistant.
Sterling Silver- is 92.5% pure silver, and the rest is other metals - mostly copper. If left unclean or unpolished, a natural patina will occur over time.
Don’ts
• expose to harsh chemicals such as bleach, alcohol, etc.
• clean with abrasive fabrics such as steel wool
• expose to intense, prolonged exposure to the sunlight
Do’s
• remove your jewelry before washing, using lotions and all other harsh chemicals to prolong the life and look of your jewelry
• clean precious metals (such as gold & silver) with non-abrasive jewelry cleaner for unwanted oxidation
• remove unwanted oxidation with a soft tip toothbrush to get inside intricate wiring
Holistic Cleaning Methods:
For silver & Gold: rinse with a dime drop of dish-washing liquid, in lukewarm water and dry with a soft cloth.
Clean undesired oxidation of copper, brass & bronze jewelry: rinse for 30 seconds in 2-3 tbsp. of Worcestershire Sauce then rinse beneath lukewarm water. Next, pat gently with a clean, dry and soft cloth.
To add patina:
Boil an egg, remove the shell and crush the contents into a zip lock bag. Place you jewelry in the bag and let it set until you get the desired oxidation you want.
