I absolutely adore these earrings and so does anyone who's seen me with them! Amazingly light and really beautifully crafted. I received them really fast and wrapped in a lovely box! Thanks a lot D ;)

About

Strictly Afropean

“I was born in L.A, grew up in the south of France, lived in Paris and I presently reside in Brooklyn, NY. I have friends from all over the world, and meet some of the most interesting people on a daily basis! How can’t I be inspired?” I am Daphné, creator of Aoede’s Hands, a hand-made accessories line, or as I like to refer to it as “the fashion testimony of a globally influenced generation”

IN THE MIX, THAT IS HOW I LIKE IT

In my iPod you can find music of Gainsbourg, Chopin, Koffi Olomide, Maroon 5, Solaar and many others! I love comfy sneakers as well as sexy heels! Lounging in Corsica and skiing in the Alps!
My pieces are blending Japanese detailing with Origami, European Style and I chose African fabric for its vibrant touch. The name is Greek, because I always loved mythology - Aoede is the muse of Music - that’s a bit like me too;

SELF-TEACHING

Everyday is a new learning experience and every day I come home with my newly taught skills that I apply to my creations, and I love it.

NOT SO EGOCENTRIC
I originally created the earrings for myself: I love accessories, but being a student I didn't have the means to purchase the big original pieces I really liked. During 2010 summer school break I did some research at the library and on internet for craft tutorials. I never thought of starting an accessory line. However, I received such an amazing response and positive feedback about my jewelry that I saw an opportunity to express my creativity by yet another mean, as well as to share it with people I know and meet along the road;

That is how “Aoede’s Hands” was born;
