Announcement   Creating with Clay is my Passion. My Custom Vessel Sinks are Works of Art for Your Home. I've been making them since 1999 and would love to make one just for you along with some back-splash or accent tiles.

I love the times of the year when I can open the slider door and embrace all the nature from the trees and rocks to the roaming chickens and the neighbor's cows. It is an amazing place to create and when you purchase, I get to create more!

Thank you for looking, spreading the news of my work and purchasing... Have a wonderful day :-)

The bowl arrived quickly and without a scratch. I purchased it as a gift for a very specific purpose, and I'm pretty sure it will be perfect (but since I haven't give it yet, I didn't feel honest giving it 5 stars just yet). But it's certainly nice to look at, and the proprietress lovely to deal with.

Plates are wonderful, however the two plates I received are grey with very little slash across. Don't match my blue dinning room at all. The color in the picture is bright and vibrant, the plates I got are dull

About

My Journey to Clay and aPotteryStudio

I've been working in clay off and on for most of my life. My maternal grandmother first introduced me by way of her slip casting hobby. Yet, it wasn't until I took a pottery class in 1990 at a Junior College to reduce the stress of a horrific job situation that I found porcelain. A few years later I heard Rudolf Staffel at Texas Clay, and I was hooked. The translucency of his porcelain mesmerized me.

I had been able to finally quit that job and was on the track for graduate school. I wound up at the University of Dallas under Dan Hammett and found a home in the Clay Department. I was derailed from that track when my then husband had a severe rock climbing accident which left him in a wheelchair for almost a year. I saw him through it, and it affected my work and our life.

I was very fortunate to work on NCECA when it came to Ft. Worth in 1998 before I went to China with the Alfred group that summer. I've also attended Summer workshops at Haystack, Alfred, NYC YMCA and Anderson Ranch and many local to the Dallas/FtWorth region. I've also personally hosted a couple dozen national and international clay artists I've befriended in my clay journey, to demonstrate their skills and share their knowledge with others here in NW Arkansas. I opened aPotteryStudio in fall of 2002 when I returned home to Fayetteville, Arkansas after about 16 years in the DFW area.

My Passion Is Clay and I Really Enjoy Sharing It With Others :-)

Howdy Everyone. Hope you are having a Great Day. I live in a wonderful little farmette in the heart of the Ozark mountains. Pottery is my primary medium but am working in glass to the pieces, especially the lights. I have always had a fascination with the architecture of Bruce Goff, Frank Lloyd Wright, and Goudi and it influences my work. I hope you enjoy my works as much as I enjoy making them.

Payment
All payments are due in full when you place your order, unless you have made prior arrangements with me. CUSTOM orders must be paid for when they are placed. I will make a special listing in my shop with your Etsy name on it, and once it goes through, and Paypal / Etsy sends me a notice that it has been paid and cleared, I will begin the work.

Once I begin work on a custom order 33% is non refundabel, once it is fired once (bisque firing) 67% is non-refundable and once it has been glaze fired (for the first time if multiple glaze firings are required like often are for the sinks) nothing is refundable unless it is nothing like what we discussed. I had one customer who although I did what she wanted, it did not turn out as she saw in her mind; she was able to pick another sink that I had in stock and was delighted with her purchase and her new bathroom. I want you to be happy and will do what I can to help make it a great experience for both of us.
Shipping
Insurance is included on all shipments and I double box where it is needed to protect your item. If it turns out that I've overestimated the shipping, I will refund any amount above my reasonable packaging. I will do my best to get your item(s) out to the Post Office or FedEx within 48 business hours of your payment clearing PayPal (unless custom order) so that you get it in a timely fashion.
Refunds and Exchanges
All sales are final. I do my best to describe and photograph the pieces to best represent the actual color, shape and such, but every computer screen will differ slightly. Also, the kiln has the final say, so even though I use commercial glazes, they sometimes vary batch to batch and firing to firing.

Since I insure all shipments through FedEx or USPS, If something is broken in shipping, you will get refunded or I can re-create a similar piece if you want.
Additional policies and FAQs
I accept custom orders on the vessel sinks, signs and dishes but please allow a couple weeks for the conversation and then it takes from 8-12 weeks to complete. I will entertain custom orders on some of my other items in the form of color differences within my standard colors. Feel free to contact me but due to internet issues in the country, it sometimes takes a day or two for me to respond.
