Welcome to our Apple Rose Fiber Store. We specialize in high quality fiber for hand spinners and felters. Our Cormo Sheep and California Red Sheep are bred to produce very high quality fiber and are covered to keep out plant matter and dirt. The fleece is then processed professionally. We have both 100% Registered Cormo Sheep and 100% Registered California Red Sheep. Our Web site www.applerose.com provides information about these breeds of sheep. We have both natural colored white Cormo and hand dyed Cormo Roving. CORMO TOP is our specialty. We have 35 colors of hand dyed Mohair Roving. I also make one ounce Batts for hand spinners and felters. All fiber sold is produced on our farm here in New York.

She says the Cormo handles a lot like the beige Tasmanian Comeback we love, so it will likely be a good substitute. No doubt we’ll be purchasing more in future.

I’m definitely going to check out your other fleeces, fibers, and roving. 5/17- the roving expresses itself to be of the softest micron quality! It’s slips like butter through my fingers. I will definitely buy more from this vendor.

5 out of 5 starsWhat a beautiful fiber! I discovered California Red breed reading about rare sheep breeds with unique coloring. I became curious about the fiber and decided to get a whole fleece and process it for a single garment. The fiber is pleasant to work with and has a beautiful oatmeal coloring. It has an energetic crimp, perfect for woolen yarns! If you are a spinner mastering a long draw spinning from rolags, this fiber is a great treat; it practically spins itself! The yarn made with this fiber is soft and has a nice drape. You will not be dissapointed!
