My jewelry bench is my happy place.
I have made Jewelry as a hobby for a long time, and when the pandemic delayed my plans to return to work after being a full-time parent to two young children, I began focusing more of my time and energy on my jewelry practice and have been energized to keep developing as an artist. In the last two years I have continued my beaded embroidery work and advanced my skills in metalsmithing.
I love experimenting with color and texture (powdercoating, patinas, rollerprinting and etching, for example) and have unexpectedly found that I enjoy the creative problem-solving involved in complex fabrication. I draw inspiration from botany and vintage and antique jewelry.
