I just received the following message from Gooten, the print-on-demand company that produces my umbrellas :"We’ve recently noticed an increase in quality issues and production delays for ... umbrellas fulfilled by one of the manufacturers in our network... While we've been in daily contact with the manufacturer, and have made clear the need for additional quality control and improved production times, they have not met our expectations for improvement.
As a result, we've made the difficult decision to remove this manufacturer from our network, as they are no longer meeting the level of quality and consistency required by Gooten, our retail partners, and the end customers...
While we'll no longer be accepting any new orders for these products beginning today, orders that are currently in our system will be produced and fulfilled.
This was a difficult decision to make as these are popular products but your brand reputation with your customers is obviously much more important."
THIS MEANS NO NEW UMBRELLA ORDERS UNTIL FUTHER NOTICE. :-(
