I am a published crochet designer. This shop is one of the places where I sell my own personal pattern line. My patterns are also for sale on Ravelry, and are a little cheaper there because the overhead costs are lower. I typically design my patterns using what are considered luxury yarns. I prefer to use natural fibers in my designs and therefore using the yarn called for in the pattern may be more expensive than other options, but you can substitute if you like, keeping in mind that this may not always yield as a good a finished item as using the yarn called for in the pattern.
