Announcement   Simply put, I love wool. I am always on the lookout for different colors and when I can't find what I need I dye the wool myself. This can get pretty interesting and is how I get lots of great colors - sometimes intentionally and sometimes by happy mistake. I have been designing rugs and dyeing wool for a long time and it's been the most consuming hobby. I just love it. Rug hooking to me is like grown up coloring. I remember when I was a child in Newfoundland my six sisters and I would get a new box of 64 crayola crayons and we would have so much fun with them. That's how I feel when I get new wool. I can't wait to use it!!!

Everything is excellent and as described. The lady selling it is very helpful and friendly. As a total and utter beginner I was afraid that even a beginner kit would be daunting and I was nervous about starting. But I've made a start now and it does seem that it is possible with this kit to get stuck in and achieve a pleasing result It's giving me what I wanted: a small project during which I can learn the basics and produce something lovely that will give me the confidence to start making my own patterns. I bought the hook, too. It has a nice feel to it, the wood is very pleasant, and since I'm a Brit the 'Kennebunkport, Maine' on it feels pleasingly exotic! Hooking/proggy is a traditional craft in the UK as well as in America, but for some reason almost all of the lovely online resources seem to be from America!
