Q: Do these Aqua Bonsai need to be underwater?
A: Yes all Aqua Bonsai are covered with live, aquatic, freshwater moss that needs to be constantly wet to survive. These are best suited to freshwater aquariums.
Q: Do you make any larger or smaller sizes not listed on the site?
A: Yes, I frequently create custom orders. I can create much larger or much smaller custom orders. If you can imagine it, I can create it.
Q: What do you use as the base for the Aqua Bonsai?
A: I use a combination of wire frame, crushed lava substrate, and sealant.
Q: Are these Aqua Bonsai safe for my fish, shrimp,amphibians or reptiles?
A: Yes. All Aqua Bonsai are safe for all aquatic residents. I have personally kept mine with high-grade Discus, plecos, shrimp, and other sensitive aquatic residents. Not one customer in over 200 sales has ever reported losses of fish due to Aqua Bonsai. These living art pieces, double up as a filter by giving beneficial bacteria many porous spots to grow.
