Hello everyone! Welcome to my shop, Arachne's Dream.

In this store, I am focusing on my first love, and that is fiber arts. I have been weaving since I was six, knitting since I was in college, and spinning since I was 16. I am bringing my love of wool and the wonderful things that can come from it to the masses.

Now I know that there are a lot of vendors here that produce beautiful handspun yarn, but what makes me different is that I purchase wool from vendors that use as close to organic farming practices as possible when it comes to raising their sheep, I process the wool from it's raw state myself, and I dye my fibers with cake icing dyes. Yup! You read right. Cake icing dyes. I use some of the best food grade gel dyes there are. I mix some of my own colors, and then the rest are already premixed colors.

The various types wool I use are seasonal. Merino is usually acquired in the spring and Jacobs is usually sheared in the fall/winter. I also use Navajo Churro, and Blue-faced Leicester. (Please contact me to see what type of fiber I have available.) I am also working with silk fibers. Usually this will be blended with Merino, but depending on how good of a supply of silk "peace" cocoons I can get, will determine whether or not I will have pure silk noil yarn.

Along with the handspun goods, I will also have hats, scarves, and dog sweaters (for small dogs only). So keep a look out. And most importantly SHOP! SHOP! SHOP!
