Crafting with care through patience and time.

Whether it is copper or silver I am working in the two constants are patience and time. Time to learn new processes, time to implement them, and the patience to take a flat sheet, sink it into a wood block, the raise it around a metal stake. Forming metal takes little more than patience and time. However, for all of its simplicities when people ask me how long it took to make a piece I may respond with 18 years... learning how to manipulate the metal or curve it the way you want without tearing it also takes time, patience and time.

One of my favorite things to do in the world is to sit in from of my anvil, hammer in hand bringing shape and beauty out of sheet stock. The ability to create beautiful things what will adorn your home is what I was put on this earth for, and I am glad you have chosen to follow me, whether that is just to see the beautiful creations I make, or to purchase them to keep, I appreciate you visiting!

Archmaille Designs story starts around the year 2000 where I fell in love with chainmail that I learned to make at a youth church camp. I've always had an odd obsession with hammers, and it was this obsession that brought me to the passion of silversmithing. Making things out of copper and silver hand raising and hammering is where my passion lies.

It is through this business and what I make with it that I want to reach the community of Parkville Missouri where I live and work, and bless the people of the community.

"make it your ambition to lead a quiet life: You should mind your own business and work with your hands, just as we told you, so that your daily life may win the respect of outsiders and so that you will not be dependent on anybody."

- 1 Thessalonians 4:11-12 (NIV)

"Do your work with enthusiasm. Work as if you were serving the Lord, not as if you were serving only men and women. Remember that the Lord will give a reward to everyone, slave or free, for doing good."

– Ephesians 6:7-8 (NCV)

Most of the time the pieces you see listed here are made and ready to ship next day! I only say next day because I prefer to be at my jewelry bench instead of in front of the computer so I may not see the notification of sales until the end of the work day. I love making both beautiful and practical jewelry. I am also happy to be able to offer my works of art to you!
