Announcement   I am FINALLY back... And I would apologize to anyone who tried to contact me over my too long absence... life was too far in the way. (the reason I closed the shop for so long.)

I am bringing the focus more onto local and reclaimed woods, and building tools that I would use myself. You can contact me here, or through Ravelry (I am Ratigan there.)

Note that all 'reclaimed material' identities are best guess- although I try to do as thorough research as I can.., Lumber guides, Furniture history, etc.

Here's to life's ongoing adventures!

Excellent craftmanship and quick shipping from Alaska! It's so cool how it's been upcycled from reclaimed materials - such a unique item and so well-made! I'm torn between giving it as a gift (as originally intended) or just keeping it for myself.

Gorgeous! Absolutely beautiful nostepinne created out of my favorite type of tree, the birch.his is a really lovely, well-made item and the photos really didn't do it justice. It's smooth in my hand and I can't wait to use it! Thank you!

I ordered on Thursday April 19th and it was in my hands on Monday the 23rd. The extra wool and treats were super nice, as was the kind note, and I love everything. Thank you!

This spindle is my favorite! It goes and goes and it's perfectly balanced. Perfect for my default fingering-to-sport singles. The craftsmanship is excellent, and I love that a lot of the wood used is reclaimed. I feel like I'm holding history in my hand. I recommend this seller!

I ordered on Thursday April 19th and it was in my hands on Monday the 23rd. The extra wool and treats were super nice, as was the kind note, and I love everything. The 20g spindle spins lace like a dream and the craftmanship is excellent.

I love that it's created from discarded wood and wood furniture - something with history and age!

Beautiful! I ordered on Thursday April 19th and it was in my hands on Monday the 23rd. The nostepinne is the perfect size for my hand and well made and well finished. I love that it's created from discarded wood furniture - something with history and age and not just raw wood.

The item shipped on time - in fact the seller refunded the shipping costs because he did not get it out the day he wanted to.
I have two problems with the transaction. First, while the spindle is lovely, it does not spin because it is unbalanced, therefore it is more for "show" and not for "go". I was hoping to purchase a fully functional phang. My second problem is that I have tried to start a conversation with the seller regarding his design. He has chosen not to respond to my three attempts to communicate with him. Therefore, I can only assume that it is more important to him to make sales than to 1. learn how to improve his products, and 2. make his customers happy. Obviously, I will not purchase another spindle from him.

About

I am a transplant Alaskan who has taken root... I work in paints, metals, and wood. I like working with reclaimed materials, although I'll still buy some nice materials as either accents or endulgences.

I started my Etsy shop to showcase my paintings and prints. When I started doing chainmail, I expanded the shop. Most recently I have gotten into spinning and Spindle making, so yet again the shop has expanded...

Shipping
Due to a current conflicting set of schedules, I will be shipping out once a week, on Saturdays gor the current forsee able future. This is only a delay of 24-48 hours from the old policy, and I apologize if this causes any inconvenience .

I try to ship securely, inside boxes, tubes, or re-enforced envelopes.

My shipping prices are based on the USPS Web Site estimates, if the package ends up costing less to send, I will refund the difference (If it's more, I'll just eat it.)

International Shipping. I usually ship First Class internationally. I will not forge Customs forms, and if your destination country charges additional customs/import tariffs/fees that are not part of the destination shipping fee (IOW if they ask you for money at delivery and not me at time of sending it) those fees are the buyer's responsibility.

If sent USPS Priority (US address Spindles for example), it of course includes tracking and insurance, and International will have it's customs number.
