About

Wool hunting in England to bring you the best of the worlds Rare Breeds

Hi from Plymouth England, by way of sunny south Florida. Queen Conch Rare Breed Yarn & Fibers was created out my love for the timeless, unique, and obscure. I've always shied away from status quo, I've now extended that into my hobbies and, out of need created a business. I could never find a place on line or in person that had everything I wanted, so i made my own. I want to be a one stop shop for fiber and needle art lovers to find unquestionably beautiful and rare item as well as handy tools to allow them to create their own one of a kind unique creations.

I have a love for things obscure and shy away from status quo. I have a special place in my heart for old fashioned things. It saddens me that we have lost sight of the old breed animals in light of profit and excess. The gorgeous breeds that made our cultures unique are fading away and we have no idea what we are losing. I make it my goal to only carryvrare, endangered and heritage breeds. I want to bring to the world the beauty of natural colored fibers, hardy breeds that made us who we are to day. Sheep that are unchanged from era of their use and those that still thrive in their homelands.

While normally based out of South Florida, I've had the opportunity to live in SW England for a year With my husbands job. This had been quite a blessing for this wool gal. Its given me the opportunity to make some great connection i, person with some of the greatest farmers and shepherd's in England, Scotland and Wales bringing you the best they have to offer.
I hope these rare breeds speak to you and tell you their by gone days of history.

I want to bring all of my most favorite of things to you. The rich robust flavors of canned goods and subtle warmth and love of handknits and fiber arts. I was you to experience a vibrant art that is color and tactile softness in my yarns and fibers from around the world, to the unique tastes of fruits, veggies herbs and spices.

By sharing in these timeless things; yarn/fiber and food with a modern flare, we share what makes us all the same and all different. Beside who doesn't like being warm, well fed, fat and happy. :-D

Shipping
If your shipping total seems a bit off just contact and ill fix it lickity-split. there have been some adjustment that may have gone awry witht he change overs from Etsy Studio.

ALL ITEMS ARE NOW CALCULATED SHIPPING

1) However this adds all your items together.
2)Your shipping will probably be listed as markedly higher as you will be charged the weight of shipping each item individually, the cost of packaging materials, and delivery to post office as they will not come to the studio for 1st class parcels.
3) You will have to wait approximately 1 week for a refund of overages of actual shipping costs.
4)There will be no insurance unless requested.
5) I will not be responsible for lost/misplaced/or delayed parcels. if you want a guaranteed delivery and insurance you will need to upgrade to Priority.

Keep in mind all canned goods are heavy glass and are well and safely packed increasing the bulk of your parcel. Yarn orders ship quite nicely with canned goods acting as their own packing media.... Just a helpful hint.

Frequently asked questions

What is a "sample" in the Samples Listing

They can be prepped or Raw it's up to you. The listing you have selected is for touch and see samples. They range from 0.1 to 0.25 +/- oz so you get to see what they look and feel like. I do this because I have very rare breeds many people have never touched, seen, or heard of.

The larger samples (0.25oz) are the raw so you know how it will wash or scour.

These samples are not usually large enough for most people to spin, some use for felting art though, because they only need small amounts.
