WELCOME! We carry one of the widest selection of Czech innovative shaped beads in unique coatings - SuperDuo, SuperUno, Rizo, Rulla, Piggy, Silky, O-Bead, Tri-Bead, Kheop, Pip, Pellet, Pyramid, Pyramid Hex, Tango, Tipp, Czechmates (Lentils, Tiles, Bricks, Bars, QuadraTiles and QuadraLentils) and 2mm Glass Pearl beads on Etsy in one comprehensive shop.

Not only do we specialize in innovative Czech shaped beads but we also carry a wonderful assortment of beautiful and hard to find Czech glass buttons at nearly 800 unique selections when they are all in stock. We carry the largest selection of 2mm Czech pearls anywhere at 100+ colors. These tiny pearls are more economical than genuine freshwater seed pearls (available in the shop periodically) that I like to use for my bead embellishments and rope designs.

In my shop, you'll also find semi-precious gemstone beads, Czech press glass beads, vintage buttons, silk handpainted ribbons, Shibori ribbons by Glennis Dolce, vintage Swarovski beads, fancy rhinestones and components, unique findings and other design elements I love to use in my design studio. After collecting beads and buttons since 2000, I have a LOT to list, to share and to photograph, so please drop by often to check on new listings

If you have any suggestions on what you'd like to see in the shop, feel free to convo me. New products are added to the shop on a regular basis. You can also search with keywords, by color, by bead type and etc. to find the items you want to purchase quickly or match beads with the same finish. If you need a color consultation, I am only an email away. Color is my specialty and passion.

We ship most items for a flat rate of $3.75 (First Class Mail to U.S), $9.00 (International First Class Mail to Canada) and $13.00 (International First Class Package to everywhere else). We've worked hard to secure the best shipping rates so no matter how many items you purchase, you pay one shipping price. There are only a few items that do not fall into this category. We want you to spend your design dollars on purchasing quality beads and products, not concern over per item incremental shipping charges added to your final purchase total.

If you place an order before noon (PST), more than likely, your order will be processed immediately if I am not traveling or exhibiting at a show. Your order may even ship the same day! All items ship with free delivery confirmation. An automated delivery confirmation email will be sent at the time of shipment.

Many of the items in our Etsy shop are not carried normally at our trade shows. We exhibit under "Lisa Kan Designs" or combined with "Aria Design Studio" at most large national venues like Bead Fest, Bead and Button, Tucson Best Bead Show, Bay Area Bead Extravaganza, Pacific Northwest/Northern California bead society shows, Black Sheep Gathering, Columbia Gorge Fiber Festival, the International Quilt Festival (Chicago and Houston), Quilt!Knit!Stitch!, SewExpo and select PNW quilt, sewing, textile & fiber shows.

All items listed on Etsy are ready to ship immediately so there is no waiting unless otherwise noted as "pre-order" or "pre-sale". There may also be selections of the shop that will be deactivated during show season since the inventory will be traveling with me to the respective show. I will make appropriate announcements a few weeks in advance so you can plan your bead purchases. If I am away exhibiting, the shop will still most likely remain open but shipping is slightly delayed. It is my wish to keep the shop opened at all times for your shopping convenience, 24/7 - 365 days a year.

About my design work:

I am mostly inspired by the Art Nouveau and Victorian eras but find inspiration everywhere and in most historical periods. I have a great fondness for Rene Lalique's work (his glass, his enamels, his jewelry...everything Lalique!). Other's that inspire my work included Alphonse Mucha, Louis Comfort Tiffany, Georges Fouquet, Daum Nancy, Emile Galle, Dale Chihuly, Jean Schlumburger, etc. and all the important jewelry design firms like Tiffany, Bulgari, Boucheron, Cartier, etc. There's too many to list but this gives you a good idea of my design acumen.

Specialties:

In jewelry, my style is antique, vintage, elegant and romantic. My specialty is beadweaving but I do a little of everything. I am inspired by historical eras and like to weave stories within my work through the components I select.

In glass, I am inspired to create work that emulates ceramics, textiles, lapidary, Japanese aesthetics and Mother Nature. My signature is the use of transparent color - variegated, subtle or with layering effects to add dimension and depth.

About

New Supplies Shop specializing in SuperDuos, Rizos and Rullas

After many years of exhibiting at trade shows and writing step by step tutorials for bead publications, I decided to open the Aria Design Studio Supplies Shop in March 2013.

Beaders not only at trade shows, but through emails, contacted me about the difficulty in finding special beads and components I use in my work. I have a distinct way in how I pull colors together for my designs and use high quality components. Some of the components I use, although widely available, were difficult to find in the color combinations I design without having to seek out several sources. This is why I decided to build a specialty supply shop here on Etsy.

I have been fortunate to build friendships with key bead manufacturers, distributors and suppliers through the various design projects I've worked on the last few years. This was especially true when I wrote my first book, Bead Romantique and when I was selected to be one of four Designers of the Year for Beadwork Magazine in 2009.

I decided to focus the shop on carrying innovative Czech/Japanese shaped beads, Czech/Japanese two-hole beads and Czech glass buttons. I carry the largest selection of SuperDuo, Rizo and 2mm pearl beads on Etsy. Currently there are 260+ colors of SuperDuos and 190+ colors of Rizos in the shop (when all colors are in stock and listed). The selection of Rulla beads will also grow and currently there are 80+ colors in the shop. We are also expanding to carry the SuperUno, the "O" bead, Half Tilas and the entire Czechmate two hole line. These beads are wonderful to design with but also mix well with each other.

As new colors are introduced, you can be sure that I'll try to stock as many of them as I can for the shop. I will not be carrying any neon or color lined Czech beads as I do not use them for my work. There will never be a lack for color options and this is your one stop shop if you love designing with two hole and Czech beads as much as I do.

In November 2013, I started working with Glennis Dolce of ShiboriGirl Studios to carry the largest selection of her ribbons imaginable. A new Etsy shop concept, an expansion into textile products and embellishments, is targeted to launch under my new company Textile Geisha in March 2014.

Everything in my shop is hand selected by me personally. These are the same beads and components I love to use in my own designs. My design aesthetic is vintage, elegant, romantic and classy with historical inspirations (Medieval, Renaissance, Edwardian, Art Nouveau, Art Deco, etc.)

The shop will take some time to be populated with a wide assortment of beads, findings, buttons, vintage, and other innovative design elements. There is always something new to list!!!

I hope you enjoy visiting my shop.

Thank you for stopping by...
Lisa
