About

Crafting, Running, Rescuing

I work a regular full time job to pay my bills. I craft and stitch to keep my sanity and help rescue dogs.

I live in the shadow of the Rocky Mountains in northern Utah. I have two rescue dogs of my own, and I foster dogs in danger of euthanization at shelters through Rescue Rovers. We pull dogs from high-kill, overfull shelters and take them into our own homes until they can find loving forever homes. I almost always have at least one foster dog. The money made in this store is what I use to provide food, treats, toys, and blankets for my fosters, and pay for gas transporting them from death row to happily ever after.

One of my favorite things to do after a long day of work is to curl up on the sofa, surrounded by dogs, and stitch while we watch TV. It is our perfect evening. So the opportunity to do so and have all our hard work raise money to save more is so rewarding! And you can know that every purchase you make will help feed, shelter, or transport a dog during its short stop along the road to a forever home.

Follow me on Instagram @armada.designs for the first look at new stitch patterns, the freshest designs, as well as updates on my rescue dog work and running addiction!

    Owner, Creator

My favorite thing to do when I get home from work is to sit around and create! I find cross stitching to be the most relaxing. The acts of creating patterns and the actual stitching are so different from each other, yet two sides of the same coin.

Welcome to Armada Designs, your nerdy internet home away from home. I love creating cross stitch patterns of all varieties, and sharing them with the world in three different forms - the pattern PDF (for experienced stitchers who have materials already), the stitch kit (for first-timers, or folks who prefer to open their package and just start stitchin' without having to run to the store), and the completed work (for folks who just want to hang it up)!

I really enjoy the act of creating a cross stitch, from start to finish, so my goal is to always have a finished product for you to see. Too many stores simply import a picture they found online into pattern-making software and throw a screenshot up in their store. That's all well and good, but what if someone buys the pattern, and ALL the materials required, and spends HUNDREDS of hours making it, and it turns out - it doesn't look that good?? That's terrible! So it's important to me to have a finished product that customers can see. For some of my big pieces, I will list the pattern before the final stitch is finished, because I'm just too excited to share with the world - but rest assured, for every pattern, I have either stitched it myself or am working on it right now. If you're curious how it's coming - convo me and I can send you a WIP picture!
