The History Of Around The Home Decor

Hello!

I'm Emily, Founder of Around The Home Decor™,

When I started this company back in 2013, it was a way for me to help out my family and stay busy while my husband, recently retired from his Army career, was away on business. Being a stay at home mom of two beautiful girls, I was living my dream, but I always wanted to do more with my background in business management and my creative flare.

Today, this company is so much more than a hobby to me! It was always my intention to market a product that not only was beautiful, but one that also was not going to be harmful to the Earth and the people that trust me to bring my product into their homes. I have developed practices over the years that work to achieve this very goal and it all began with the choice to use soy wax in my candles. As far as candles go, it really is the best choice all around for being Earth friendly and at the same time being a beautiful wax that burns clean.

On top of the choice to use wax made from soy grown right here in the USA, I also make a commitment to reduce my impact on the environment in any way I can. Some things I do to achieve this are:

~Produce my products with organic materials when possible, but always all natural!

~Choose ingredients that are as locally made as possible to reduce shipping impacts. I research every item I buy and try to find a source as close to my business as I can. In fact, my biggest supplier is only one state over and a leader in the industry, one of the first to offer carbon neutral shipping! They also only use biodegradable packing material! I always buy local when it is possible and always try to buy items made here in the USA!

~Choose containers that can be recycled, upcycled, or reused in some way. It is important to me that I produce as little waste as possible and strive to be a zero waste company. I offer a unique container recycling program for my customers who are as committed to the environment as I am.

~Recycle all shipping materials I receive during shipments of my supplies. All of the cardboard boxes or packing materials that my materials arrive in either get recycled at the recycling center or reused to pack my finished products for shipping out to customers.

When you choose to buy a bath, body or candle product from Around The Home Decor, you are making a statement that you care about the Earth while getting to enjoy the benefits of an all natural, clean, beautiful product! Thank you to all of my customers! You are the reason I love doing what I do!

We do offer Gift Wrapping. Gift Wrapping varies depending on the item/s being wrapped. You can choose gift wrapping during checkout for an additional $4.

Wholesale availability

Yes, we do accept wholesale orders on many of our items! We make every single item in our shop by hand and do our best to keep our prices low. Because of this our wholesale availability varies on a case by case bases. If you are interested in buying our products wholesale, please message us and we will be happy to work with you and find a solution that fits both of our needs.

Returns, Exchanges & info for EU Buyers.

Due to the nature of our items, and the fact that each item we make is custom made to order for the buyer, we do not accept returns or exchanges. But don't worry! Your purchase is still guaranteed to be free of any material defects. If you find that your item has arrived damaged or there is a problem with performance, please let us know right away and we will work with you to make the situation right. Your satisfaction is very important to us!

Please contact our shop with any issues. Please DO NOT send any packages back to us without prior approval. Any items returned to the store without prior approval will be ineligible for a refund or compensation.

Certain orders placed by EU buyers are eligible for return within 14 days of delivery.
