It was packaged to avoid any bending or curling & arrived in a timely manner! We are sealing this & attaching a Popsicle stick to turn it into our cake topper for our wedding. Even my fiancé is excited about it!! Thank you so much!

About

The Shapely Owl - Multi-generational family of artisans

We are a multi-generational family of artisans interested in every aspect of the arts and crafts. Our products are hand made by my mother (Linda), daughters, (Megan & Cadie) or myself. We come from a highly creative line of artisans and are passionate about our crafts. We are located in Michigan, just outside of the Lansing area.

  • Melissa

Owner, Maker, Designer, Felting, Paper Crafts

I have always been interested in the arts and crafting. There are few arts I do not want to try and consider my biggest hobby to be collecting hobbies. I have found a few niches in paper crafting, jewelry design, and fiber arts.

  • Linda

    Maker, Basket Weaving

Linda has a long history in art & crafts, specializing in basket weaving and painting. She has been doing both for over 26 years and truly loves these arts.

  • Cadie

Maker, Pot Holders, Jewlery, Misc. Crafts

Cadie is 13 and has always been a highly creative girl – turning everything she touched into some form of art. She uses her creative abilities in her painting, needle felting, and weaving crafts.

  • Megan

    Maker, Jewlery, Magnets, Keychains

Megan is 20 and enjoys making items that are “cool” or fun. Megan is our idea maker and continually finds ways to take old techniques and give them a new, fresh flair.

We are a multi-generational family of artisans interested in every aspect of the arts and crafts. Our products are hand made by my mother (Linda), daughters, (Megan, 18 & Cadie, 12) or me (Melissa). We come from a highly creative line of artisans and are passionate about our crafts.

Linda has a long history in art & crafts, specializing in basket weaving and painting. She has been doing both for over 26 years and truly loves these arts.

Megan is 18 and enjoys making items that are "cool" or fun. Megan is our idea maker and continually finds ways to take old techniques and give them a new, fresh flair. Megan loves items she can take with her or wear and contributes to our shop whenever possible.

Cadie is 12 and has always been a highly creative girl - turning everything she touched into some form of art. Unfortunately, this would include the TV, the walls, the dog, and herself, among other things. When she was younger we used the statement “make art on paper, not on Cadie” more times than I can remember! Now, she uses her creative abilities in her drawing, painting, needle felting, weaving, 'fan art', and other creative crafts.

I am very similar to my daughters in that I have always been interested in the arts and crafting. There are few arts or crafts I do not want to try and consider my biggest hobby to be collecting hobbies (lol!). I have found a few niches in paper crafting, soaps & lotions (see our other Etsy store - Nature's Elementals), fiber arts (wet and needle felting), and sewing. I also try to combine these with new techniques whenever possible.

We are located in Michigan, just outside of the Lansing area. We also own the Etsy store Melissa Melorie Fine Arts and So Little Boutique.
