The Great Studio Purge of 2021 has begun!
I am listing small artworks that have been sitting on my studio shelves for too long. They are lovely and I am quite fond of them. But it's time to move on, I am creating new art now and need room.
Perhaps they are just what you're looking for for that bare spot on your wall or a gift for a loved one. Go ahead - bring art to your life!
While my design inspiration is mainly drawn from the urban environment, it is also reliant on observations of flora and fauna around us. Especially all the little details, like bubbles of rust on a railing, a gleaming reflection on a skyscraper or in a creek, a dog's frozen footprint in a puddle and the soft fuzzy leaves of sage.
Materials for my art are inspired by plastic pollution and overconsumption. I strive to use that which would be condemned to the landfill and choose to use the unusual techniques of stitching and sewing to bring my artwork to life.
