Announcement    Welcome! Divine encaustic mixed media art using a variety of techniques including encaustic photography!

There are a variety of ways to handle hanging/displaying encaustic, so if a piece is not 'ready to hang', please feel free to convo me, and we can discuss options. I hope you enjoy my art!

If you are local to Portland and would like to take a class, that's an option too!

If you are interested in a print instead of an original go here: http://nell-werner.artistwebsites.com/

Check out my website www.artbynell.com for other available artwork not currently listed on Etsy. If you have a favorite photograph of your own that you'd like me to combine with encaustic, let me know and we can work something out.

Thank you for stopping by and happy day!

Hello and thank you for stopping by! I fell in love with encaustic wax and have been creating ever since. I started by taking classes from different artists around town and now I blissfully create art in my studio in Portland, Oregon. Additional policies and FAQs
    DURABILITY:

Encaustic paintings are durable but they should be carefully handled to avoid surface marring. Pieces should be kept in a temperature controlled space (normal living conditions are fine). The wax will melt when it becomes approximately 130 degrees Fahrenheit. Do NOT leave encaustics inside a car, outdoors in the sun or in freezing conditions.

    BLOOM:

From time to time, the piece may become dull in appearance. This is a natural process of the beeswax called bloom. You can easily remove the bloom if you desire, by buffing the piece gently with a soft cloth. Do not use materials to buff it that are scratchy or that may transfer fibers (like wool) to the wax.

    FRAMING:

If you want an affordable, easy and simple frame idea, I recommend Framatic Fineline Frames! This will work on almost all pieces that are standard frame sizes (5x7, 8x10, 11x14 etc). Pieces that are not standard frame sizes will need to be custom framed. Do not use glass, frame only. Please convo me for more information or ideas.

    BE KIND:

Please be kind and do not use my images in any form without my permission.

    LAYAWAY PLANS:
Do you absolutely love a piece, but can't afford it right now? We can do a layaway plan, just convo me!
