5 out of 5 starsI did a review less than a week ago for the first piece I received from this shop. I ended up ordering this and two others which I received today. Normally I don’t do a second review that shortly after but I honestly cannot say enough about how beautiful all of these pieces are. I have a lot of art, including encaustics, in my home that I love. These are now my favorite pieces! And the seller ships immediately. I am so glad I found this incredible seller. Thank you thank you thank you!

My studio is in the basement. This is how I decorated the window well.
My impressions of my surroundings in fabric, encaustic art and pottery.
A few years ago we added an addition to our house that afforded me a nice room to "set up shop". I have a design wall, a bookcase filled with wonderful art quilting books, an area under the steps to store a lot of supplies and of course, an area for my sewing machine.
It's much easier to paint fabric when I can go outside in the summer. I usually sit on the bottom step, at our cabin, wet fabric in a big metal bowl and then pour different colored fabric paints on the materials. The yard is soon filled with yards and yards of fabric drying in the sun.
I attended an encaustic class at a local university. I enjoy creating encaustic pieces using copies of my original photos, watercolors or creating a design with papers, fabric and colored pencils and wax pastels.
I tried a pottery class and was very frustrated trying to learn how to throw anything on the wheel. Eventually things worked. Creating the piece is one thing, decorating it is another. I love to use underglazes and textures to create a surface other than just using glazes.

I was born in raised in western Wisconsin. I moved to the east coast as a teenager but after 5 years returned to marry my middle school sweetheart. I've always enjoyed creating but once I discovered fabric art I was hooked.
