Embracing creativity for a happier life
Sono Chiara. Ho aperto il mio negozio nel 2011 come un modo per continuare a fare arte. Avevo da poco completato la mia laurea in belle arti all'università e trovavo molto difficile essere ispirato a produrre lavoro. Così poi è arrivato Etsy.
Ho pensato che sarebbe stata una buona idea fare cose ispirate alle cose che mi piacciono; serries tv, film, libri. I primi pezzi che ho venduto sono stati dipinti ad acquerello della serie TV Sherlock. Ricordo ancora la mia prima vendita e quanto mi ha reso felice. Mi ha fatto pensare che ero ancora bravo in qualcosa e che alla gente piaceva davvero il mio lavoro.
Essere su Etsy mi ha aiutato a combattere la depressione e la disoccupazione e mi ha anche aiutato a guadagnare nuovi amici. Fare lavoro e vendere su Etsy è il mio modo per sfuggire alla monotonia della vita quotidiana e chissà forse un giorno venderò il mio lavoro a tempo pieno.
Spero che i miei pezzi ti portino una scintilla di gioia e aiutino a dimostrare che la creatività può portare felicità.
Recentemente ho rinominato dal mio negozio precedente "arteclair" nel caso in cui pensassi che sembrassi familiare!
I'm Clare. I started my shop in 2011 as a way to keep making art. I had recently completed my fine art degree at university and was finding it very difficult to be inspired to produce work. So then came Etsy.
I thought that it would be a good idea to make things inspired by the things I enjoy; tv serries, movies, books. The first pieces I sold were watercolour paintings of the TV series Sherlock. I still remember my first sale and how happy it made me. It made me think that I was still good at something and that people actually liked my work.
Being on Etsy has helped me battle depression and unemployment and it has also helped me gain new friends. Making work and selling on Etsy is my way to escape the monotony of everyday life and who knows maybe one day I will be selling my work full time.
I hope my pieces bring you a spark of joy and help to show that creativity can bring happiness.
Recently I have rebranded from my previous store “arteclair” in case you thought I looked familiar!
