Artemisia Ink Studio Arts

Announcement    Artemisia Ink Studio Arts offers unique, textural and artistic handspun luxury yarns and handwoven fabrics, made from fibers sourced from around the world, spun by artist Ashley Flagg. Using a growing collection of spinning wheels and spindles, Ashley strives to make all her yarns as sustainably as possible, human powered whenever possible, and with sacred intention in each inch.

Fibers are sourced straight from the farmer and some are purchased pre-dyed, through many different small businesses and local vendors, including animal fibers like cashmere, wool, silk, mohair and alpaca as well as vegan-friendly renewable plant fibers like bamboo, soy silk, ingeo, tencel, flax and hemp.

Pricing for my yarns covers my materials and a modest hourly rate for my time, and that's it.

Commercial yarns are made by machines, these are all handmade by a human artist, and each skein represents years of practice and learning, and takes me several days of work to make. Your purchase enables me to follow my dream, and I appreciate your support!

Shipping is through USPS Priority Mail, multiple skeins will be combined into one package, and I will happily wind any yarn into a center-pull ball for you, just add a note to your order.

Anyone who sends me photos of the finished items they've made with my yarns will get 10% off their next order!

For a look at more of my work as it's created, visit my regularly updated Instagram feed at Artemis4242, or the Facebook page for Artemisia Ink Studio Arts. To place a custom special order, or for more information on any of the yarns, convo-mail me within Etsy or visit www.artemisiaink.com

I'm on Ravelry as Artemis42, and on Twitter/Instagram as Artemis4242

Frequently asked questions

Custom and personalized orders

I would be delighted to work with you to create a custom fiber blend, yarn or consult with you on the fiber arts project of your dreams, just ask!

Care instructions

All yarns have been properly set by immersion in hot water, and should be pre-shrunk and ready to go! Please look at the fiber content to determine if your yarn might felt when agitated, but a great default assumption is that handspun should always be hand washed with care.

Gift wrapping and packaging

Totally possible, but I would need some advance notice! Convo me with any such questions or concerns!
