We are the largest workshop in the world capable of producing hand-made recycled metal statues. We specialize in Science-Fiction statues from 3" to over 11 ft.
We lead the scrap metal art industry.
Art From Steel is a cooperative venture comprising myself (Martin), Khun Phairote and Khun Noi - our lead-artists and our team.
We have the largest portfolio of hand-made recycled statues in the world and love to build new designs.
We are based in Thailand and work from three different workshops.
In our main workshop we have large equipment to create our largest models, often over 12 ft tall. Our other workshops we produce smaller statues which are popular as collectibles and gifts.
Owner, Curator, Manager, Marketer, Designer, Fabricator, Webmaster, Administrator
I'm the founder of Art From Steel but I'm certainly not the creative genius who hand-makes most of our artwork. I administer our Etsy store and will be delighted to discuss how best I can help you if you'd like something new created.
Owner, Maker, Designer
Khun Phairote is the founder of all three workshops. An engineer by career he has both the technical and artistic skills to design and build our most impressive statues.
One of our most experienced artists. K' Somboon has developed an ability to create complex large statues from sight. Whilst he's not experienced in designing statues himself, he does a fantastic job replicating our master models.
Jumpee was trained entirely by our lead-artists, coming to us in 2008 as an industrial welder. He is responsible for many of our small Alien, Predator and Transformer models.
Poo is one of our most versatile artists and has developed a range of skills by assisting on many different projects. He is also working on designing his own models. He is our main artist for statues requiring the use of small washers.
Tong has developed an expertise in fine detail and is often assigned to create heads and faces for our most complex creations. Tong came to us with little experience but it didn't take long before he became one of our most respected artists.

We chose Gearbubble as we believe they are both efficient and ethical. They pay their workforce over double the minimum wage, provide benefits and have a strong recycling practice which we consider responsible.
Everything you see is hand-made and nearly all our larger statues were created after a customer contacted us with a unique requirement in mind.
If there's something you need that isn't listed here, please get in touch and we'll be delighted to provide you with a no-obligations quotation.
Accepted payment methods
- Other Method
We accept PayPal and All Major Credit Cards for in-stock orders and usually require bank wires for made-to-order statues.
Most of our larger statues are made-to-order and we require a 50% deposit before work begins. This is non-refundable. The remaining balance and shipping costs are payable once the work is ready to ship.
We accept Escrow (Buyer Pays).
Some small statues may be available in our Thailand workshops and we can ship these by airmail, Fedex or EMS.
Statues over 60lbs (30kgs) will need to be sent by sea-freight (or air freight). We have extensive experience in handling these shipments.
Refunds and Exchanges
Please be sure to contact us in advance to receive a return ID before sending back. Failure to do so will incur a $25 restocking fee.
Additional policies and FAQs
We sell our statues on other websites too and it's not possible for us to keep our Etsy stock levels as up to date as we like, especially during holiday seasons. Whilst we do everything we can to fulfill your order please understand if we no longer have the statue you order in stock. We will try to either send your order to you from our workshop or will recommend alternative models if we believe them to be a suitable alternative.
