He went above and beyond to make sure each of my pieces were organized and exactly what I wanted. He even followed up w/me and discussed other work. I had each of the students I supervise say, “Speech-Language Pathologist,” and he took each of their voices and made them into beautiful spectrograms. It was the most perfect gift for future SLPs, and the students were excited to receive them. I couldn’t be more pleased w/the outcome. I will be ordering more!

Whether it be the exact location that you met your partner or your epic vacation to Europe where you got engaged, Artful Data can capture that location and personalize it just for you. We can also take your special song, the sound of your baby's heartbeat, or any custom personal message to capture soundwaves as visual art.
Data tells the story of our lives. I first got the idea to create data-driven art when I made a street map of New York City to document my years-long goal of walking every street in Manhattan - all 508 miles! I hope to help commemorate your special moments too!

Frequently asked questions
How do I personalize my print?
I've streamlined this process to make it very easy for you! Just choose your print size & place your order. Then, in 2-3 minutes you'll receive an email with a link to provide all of your preferences. Fill out your preferences, and I'll follow up with a proof image for you to review before I print!
Is there a limit to how long the audio can be for a soundwave print?
No - I'm happy to work with audio of any length! Typically the soundwaves that I work with will vary from a few seconds to around 10-15 minutes, but I have produced longer soundwaves that look amazing as well.
Are your prints made in the United States?
Yes! All of my prints are designed, printed, and shipped from the United States.
How do your soundwave art prints work?
My soundwave art prints are the perfect way to capture and showcase a favorite sound as a one-of-a-kind piece of art!
To start, you choose your sound, whether it's a sentimental spoken message, your wedding vows, your baby's heartbeat, or a favorite song. Email any custom audio/video file to me at michael@artfuldataprints.com, or tell me the name of the song you'd like to use.
Next, I will run your chosen audio through a custom computer program I've written to perfectly capture the sound waves as a piece of art. I'll customize the color and any written message you'd like for the perfect sentimental piece of art, whether for yourself or as a unique gift!
Do you offer custom sizing?
Yes! I love working on custom pieces to perfectly fit your home. The sizes that I have in my shop are the most commonly ordered, but I can absolutely customize the sizing for you. Please send me a message on Etsy or email me at michael@artfuldataprints.com with your request and I will get back to you with options as soon as possible.
Do you send proof images?
Yes! I always send proof images to ensure that you're completely satisfied with your custom print before I ship your order. We can make any changes you like to ensure you're happy with the result before I print.
Can I use my own recording for a soundwave print?
Absolutely. I love working with personal recordings! Please email your recording to michael@artfuldataprints.com and reference your order number or name, and I'll take it from there. I can work with any audio or video file formats.
Can you do a custom map for my city?
Yes! All of my map locations are fully customizable, and I can create a map for any area in the world!
