Welcome to artianguis! Pronounced: / ä r/ [ ' t i‿ä ŋ g i s ] which comes from the Náhuatl tianquiztli (dialect that is still spoken in some parts of Mexico and El Salvador) and it’s the word used for open air market, bazaar or what is known as flea market. As a Visual Artist that was born and raised in Mexico, going to the tianguis every week was a tradition. Now that I live in the US, I thought this could be my way of spreading the love in a modern yet so traditional way by doing what I love.

Every item in my shop was made by hand. Unlike mass production, here you will find items that have been designed with thought, made with love --one at a time--, and finished with care and attention to detail.

With my ceramics, even the pieces that are part of a set or a line, are original pieces -- every and each one of them. I don’t use any kind of mold, each piece has been given form --on the wheel-- and finished --either glazed or embroidered-- individually. There is a long process behind each piece, from the moment my hand gets in touch with the wet clay to the moment they get to your hands and the comfort of your home. As with any handmade product, my pieces may have small “imperfections” which are all part of the beauty of a handmade item. As Margaret Kilgallen used to say: “My hand will always be imperfect, that’s where the BEAUTY is”.

The journals are also made by hand, there is not any kind of industrial machinery used to make them. Designing, cutting, assembling, sewing, pasting...all the process is made by hand and requires time and good craftsmanship that I hope you can see reflected on them.

All fine art prints are limited edition, once I finish hand pulling the edition, I never produce any more prints of that kind. Note that every print is an original, they are not copied with a machine, rather each one goes through a very unique process before they are finished.

Thank you for stopping by and I hope you find something you like!

*****UTAH SALES TAX*****
Dear Utah customers:
Please note that 6.75% sales tax will be charged on all Utah sales.

If you want to cancel your order, you are welcome to do so, as long as it is done BEFORE the item is shipped.

If you have any questions about your order, don't hesitate to contact me, I will be happy to answer any questions until you feel 100% satisfied with your order.

*****CUSTOM ORDERS*****
I will request payment before making any custom work.

I will work personally with you through convo messages, and as soon as we have covered all the details, a price will be set and I will create a listing specifically for your custom item. Please allow 3-4 weeks after payment for your order to be shipped.
Shipping
*****PACKAGING AND SHIPPING
I will properly pack your items to ensure their safe arrival, and they will be shipped no later than the following weekend from the date of purchase. Unless what you are buying is a print or a journal, those will ship in 1-3 days after the payment has been cleared. For ceramics though, it takes longer to get the package ready so it is secured to travel long distances.

I will ship through USPS priority or first class mail and all items will be sent to the address listed on the Etsy order. If you provided the wrong address or want to change it, please contact me ASAP to make the necessary changes before shipment. A tracking number will be sent (USA only) once the item has shipped.

FYI
I use recyclable packing material to reduce waste and a negative impact on the environment. You are welcome and encouraged to recycle or reuse the packing peanuts (which are 100% biodegradable), box, bubble wrap and/or envelopes where your item came in.
In the same way, I try to recycle packing material as much as possible. Please note that you might get your items in a recycled box. Don't worry, I will only re-use boxes that will maintain your items safe and secure.

*****ESTIMATED DELIVERY TIME
USA: 3-8 days
Canada and Mexico: 1-2 weeks
Everywhere else: 2-4 weeks

Please note these times are after time of shipment and not after time of purchase

If you want to upgrade to a faster postal service, please convo me to get additional fees information.

*****SHIPPING COSTS
I am trying to be as accurate as possible calculating shipping costs, if you feel like you are being overcharged for shipping, just convo me with the country and city of destination to make sure you are being charged the right shipping costs. I will be more than happy to make any necessary adjustments.

*****DELAYS
Please, be aware that delays sometimes happen, and those are beyond Artianguis' power. I will always notify you when the item has shipped and a tracking number (USA only) will be available for you. If you haven't received your item by the estimated time (shown above), please contact me, and I will try to track it if possible.

*****LOCAL PICK UP
As of August 30, 2013 we made available local pick up for those near the Provo, Utah area. Just enter coupon code LOCALPICKUP at the time of check out, and after payment is cleared we will work together a date and time for you to pick up your items.
Refunds and Exchanges
I hope you are happy with your purchase. However, if you feel unsatisfied, please contact me to work things out together. I want you to be a happy costumer, but I believe communication is essential to keep you happy. Please, don't hesitate to contact me if there is a problem or you have concerns.

*****CANCELATIONS AND RETURNS
If you want to cancel your order, you are welcome to do so, as long as it is done BEFORE the item is shipped.

After an item has shipped, the order cannot be canceled and items cannot be returned unless they were damaged during shipping (see Damage and Loss section). Make sure you contact me with any questions or concerns BEFORE the item is shipped or placing your order, I will be happy to answer any questions until you feel 100% satisfied.

*****DAMAGE AND LOSS
If your item was damaged during shipping, please contact me as soon as you get the package. I will need to see a picture of the item and the inside and outside packaging. I will work out a solution to the problem with you.

If you haven't received your item by the estimated delivery time, please contact me, and I will try to track it if possible.
Additional policies and FAQs
