Artifactum Design - Raw Diamond Jewelry
I absolutely love gemstones and hand select all of them. I especially enjoy working with raw and rose cut diamonds and stones with gorgeous color! I always design my pieces around the individual stone and work with yellow gold and silver, often combining the two.
I flawlessly create each piece by hand in my home studio employing traditional goldsmithing techniques such as soldering, fusing, granulation, repousse and forging to create classic jewelry with a contemporary twist - a timeless classic.
Each of my rough diamonds are unique and 100% natural as they come from the earth. They have not been altered in any way from their original form. I hand select each of my diamonds and purchase locally from an established reputable diamond dealer in Manhattan's diamond district who guarantees that the diamonds are conflict free and come from legitimate sources not involved in funding conflict and in compliance with United Nations resolutions.
In 2002 I began studying at the Jewelry Arts Institute in New York City which specializes in ancient goldsmithing techniques, granulation, enamel and chain-making. I also studied wax carving, CAD/CAM and stone setting at other institutions. I worked for 7 years as the primary goldsmith for a prominent high karat gold jewelry designer in Manhattan prior to devoting all of my time to my own work.
While this shop is devoted to silver jewelry featuring conflict free rough/raw diamonds I also have another etsy shop featuring rose cut diamond, rough diamond and colored gemstone jewelry in gold and silver:
