The Art Nouveau of the Mask-Making World

We are a group of friends and family who started making masks as accessories for a fancy party... and then just never stopped making them.

We hand-make every mask from the papier-mâché up, but we use very non-traditional methods. We are also prone to putting just about anything on a mask—from the usual feathers, glitter, and ribbon, to upcycled junk, broken jewelry, and scrap fabric--we consider ourselves the new-age artists of an age-old art form. Mask Nouveau.

The Artisan Maskers also enjoy doing our own collaborative photo shoots, and are very grateful to the other fantastic Etsy vendors that have made our shoots a success!

  • Amanda

    Owner, Maker, Photographer

I love to find scraps and "junk" and turn them into something unique and beautiful. I am very inspired by literature and nature. I run the business part of our mask-making endeavor.

  • Julianna

    Maker

I love anything that sparkles! I love to create masks that are flashy and grand.

  • Sarah

    Maker, Photographer

I love to get my hands dirty with any art medium I can find. I especially love to use vibrant colors in my mask designs.

  • Kids

    Designer

We are Amanda's kids and mostly just do kid things. But every once in a while, we get the mask-making itch like Mommy and help her design and create a couple of masks.

Shipping

All packages mailed within the United States are sent via USPS Priority Mail. Each package includes tracking/delivery confirmation and insurance. Packages should arrive within 3-5 BUSINESS DAYS of receipt of payment, so please plan accordingly if you need the mask for a particular event. If you do not receive your mask within this time frame, please contact us.

For international orders, we use USPS First Class shipping. Insurance and tracking are available for an extra fee; please contact us before purchase if this interests you. Shipping time varies by country.

We reuse shipping materials whenever possible; our masks are wrapped in tissue paper and then packed in a sturdy box with re-used packing peanuts, bubble wrap, or newspaper from the scrap bin. If you are purchasing a mask as a gift, and would like it to arrive in a “pretty” box (not previously used), please inform us in the “notes to seller” section during checkout, so we can be sure to accommodate you.
