Fear Con Salt Lake City is a Día de los Muertos theme for their inaugural year (so OF COURSE we had to make an appearance)!
My very glamorous work space in the week before an event... :/ Come visit us next week at the UtahRenFaire.org next week to see the finished products!

About

The Art Nouveau of the Mask-Making World

We are a group of sisters and friends who started making masks as accessories for a fancy party and became addicted. Rather than curb that addiction (I mean, really, who WOULD!?), we opted to open up shop and share with the mask-deprived world!

Using very non-traditional mask-making methods and putting just about anything on a mask—from the usual feathers, glitter, and ribbon, to upcycled junk, broken jewelry, and scrap fabric--we consider ourselves the new-age artists of an age-old art form. We are the Mask Nouveau.

The Artisan Maskers also enjoy doing our own collaborative photo shoots, and are very grateful to the other fantastic Etsy vendors that have made our shoots a success!

I love to find scraps and "junk" and turn them into something unique and beautiful. I am very inspired by literature and nature.

  • Emily

    Masker

I often look to Steampunk and Day-of-the-Dead for inspiration. I love to sculpt masks out of paper clay.

  • Julianna

    Masker, Photo Shoot Director

I love anything that SPARKLES! I love to create masks that are flashy and grand and make the wearer feel like a fairytale princess.

  • Sarah

    Masker, Photo Editor

I love to get my hands dirty with any art medium I can find. I especially love to use vibrant colors in my mask designs.

Welcome to Artisan Maskers! We are a group of friends, cousins, and siblings that started making papier-mache masks for a party and just couldn't quit. All of our masks are hand made with care.

Returns and exchanges
I gladly accept returns and exchanges
Contact me within: 14 days of delivery
Ship items back within: 30 days of delivery
I don't accept cancellations
But please contact me if you have any problems with your order.
The following items can't be returned or exchanged
Because of the nature of these items, unless they arrive damaged or defective, I can't accept returns for:
  • Custom or personalized orders
  • Perishable products (like food or flowers)
  • Digital downloads
  • Intimate items (for health/hygiene reasons)
All of our masks are intended to be worn...but some are fragile, so handle carefully. Due to the special event nature of our masks, we generally cannot refund or exchange any mask after purchase. However, if you feel we in any way misrepresented the item or are dissatisfied with your purchase, we are happy to consider each case on an individual basis. Never hesitate to contact us with any concern or question!

If your mask arrives damaged in the mail, we may be able to repair it. Please contact us and send us pictures of the damage. Masks needing repair must be returned to us (at your expense) WITH ALL PIECES INCLUDED and we can then make necessary repairs and return it to you FREE OF CHARGE. If you opted to purchase shipping insurance, keep all damaged materials (including the box) and contact us. We would be happy to help walk you through the claims process with the USPS.
Payment
We happily accept PayPal or Etsy direct checkout (with credit or debit card) and Etsy gift cards.
Shipping
All packages mailed within the United States are sent via USPS Priority Mail. Each package includes tracking/delivery confirmation and insurance. Packages should arrive within 3-5 BUSINESS DAYS of receipt of payment, so please plan accordingly if you need the mask for a particular event. If you do not receive your mask within this time frame, please contact us.

For international orders, we use USPS First Class shipping. Insurance and tracking are available for an extra fee; please contact us before purchase if this interests you. Shipping time varies by country.

We reuse shipping materials whenever possible; our masks are wrapped in tissue paper and then packed in a sturdy box with re-used packing peanuts, bubble wrap, or newspaper from the scrap bin. If you are purchasing a mask as a gift, and would like it to arrive in a “pretty” box (not previously used), please inform us in the “notes to seller” section during checkout, so we can be sure to accommodate you.

Due to having many contributors to our site, shipping costs reflect not just the cost of postage, but administrative costs as well. By including these costs in shipping, we are able to keep our mask prices lower.
