Chip was wonderful to work with. He communicated really well, making sure he understood just what I wanted on this custom order. His craftsmanship was great, and the quality of the pieces was beautiful.

What a wonderful piece of jewelry. It's beautifully made. I buy a lot of stuff online and have for many years, and rarely, if ever, have I encountered a seller who was more helpful. Sizing can be a bit tricky when buying jewelry online, but he was very careful to get it just right, with a guarantee that if it wasn't 100% to my liking, he would be more than happy to take it back. As it turns out, the piece is perfect, and I'm buying several more. Rarely have I dealt with any seller online who was as careful and conscientious. It's been such a pleasure. I look forward to dealing with him again. Kudos! AAAAA+++++

Bought this as a 6in child's bracelet, when I received it, it was no more than 3in... I contacted the seller and they were very good about making a new one and paying postage for the wrong sized one to be shipped back. I originally was happy with this second bracelet until I took it out of the packaging to put it on my flower girls wrist. IT BROKE instantly and all the beads went all over the floor. My flower girl did a great job not crying, but you could see the sadness in her eyes because all the other bridesmaids received a piece of jewelry from me and she had nothing. Very disappointed.

I replaced the baby bracelet with an adult size bracelet at no charge and ate the shipping both ways. These bracelets are for babies and toddlers; they are adjustable up to 6 inches. The 2nd bracelet was received on June 20th and on June 26th she stated in an email she was happy with it. I still have the email. The poor feedback came almost a month later on July 26th. Her wedding was June 29th. On Aug.8th I noticed her poor review and offered to fix or replace the bracelet if she could send me the broken one. I’ve heard nothing from her. So make your own mind up; I stand behind my work 100% and I always have. I contacted Etsy on this and I was made to wait until today, Sept 11th and was told there was nothing they could do about this. Thanks, Etsy and Lyndsay Loren Dean for making this so easy, enjoyable and profitable for me
make that money, make that art and lots of lemonade...
Well, like most artists, I haven't starved but I learned in high school to sell my work and take commissions whenever possible. I've been a visual artist all my life and started drawing and painting at 12. In high school, I started selling friendship bracelets and got inundated with orders. It was fun and everyone enjoyed their custom made bracelets. Soon it was necklaces, anklets and from there, anything someone could challenge me with. The majority of my work as been sold and not photographed and the bulk of the items listed here on this site are basic designs that have been popular over the years. They serve more as a starting point for more complex designs and didn't I mention that I like to be challenged??
Pearls are my favorite and also my birthstone. My first jewelry set was a multi-stranded pink, peach, and lavender twisted pearl necklace and earring combo that a doctor's wife asked me to make, because she could not find it in any jewelry store. She loved it so much all her friends ordered sets for themselves and their friends. All it takes is one design, or a one-of-kind piece that makes you a hit overnight. Whenever I was unemployed or under-employed, it was my jewelry and artwork that paid the bills. I've been in the business for 25+ years and done a little bit of everything. I've been asked to paint murals, teach classes, manage art installation projects, magazine articles and also judge art contests. Most of it was done for free and for my love of promoting art in small communities where access to any type of art is limited at best.
My artwork collection is quite large and I've never shown collectively in the public. It has taken me years to photograph it all and I am not finished. My favorite medium is pastel and watercolor, as well as graphite and charcoal, as my true love is drawing. I am self taught completely and also taught art in the public schools and also in private lessons. I love doing portraits, and pretty much any other artwork you can throw at me. I also create digitized artwork and will be glad to work with you on any project.
My artwork and jewelry has been featured and sold in private galleries, jewelry stores and on-line. The secret to my success has been to, "do it my way", which means controlling the creative aspect of your own work AND ALSO to make lots of lemonade, because life is full of lemons. Every part of my life has included art, jewelry, or both and it's due to my deep love of expression through the visual arts.
For many years, I struggled with confidence in my work, because I wanted to go to art school. I was definitely accepted and truly thought that my path would go in that direction. My father told me that I was "too good" for art school, that there was nothing more for me to learn, and that I need to do something "practical" with my life. I never believed him and I've never been mad about it. It's funny to me, because that was his view of me at the time and my whole life has been an art lesson since then. And what's most funny to me is that I know artists that complete art school and have never produced any of their own artwork, nor will they, until they have a true passion for their work. It's only since I've reached my 40's that I understand that I may not have had the benefit of attending art school, but the art school has been within me all these years. So, for the young folks out there, remember don't give up. Nothing you truly love goes away; it's within you already. You just have to believe it.
