Announcement   Welcome to ArtiZen Beads!

My shop consists of jewelry and home accessories that are one of a kind, original in design, and inspired by a higher power that channels itself through my head, hands, and heart. My inspirations are many; from other working artists in many medias to family, friends, nature, fashion photos, architecture, and sometimes just a good debate or conversation.

2013 will be a challenging year for me. My family has just moved in to our "forever home," but since New Year's Eve, 2012 was our moving date and it required 9 trucks to bring all of our posessions to us, we have a lot of unpacking to do! My new studio space is AWESOME! but will require a lot of work before I can find all my materials efficiently and can simply go where my muse leads me without sometimes hours spent looking for that one critical component. I have medical issues that are pervasive; through a series of surgeries - including many that we hope will increase the functionality of my right hand after an accident last year that left it less useful than any artist would want, but I am driven from something deep inside to create, and no matter what the challenges, the passion to create will prevail!

I have another Etsy Shop: "I'm Making It" at http://makingit.etsy.com which is currently inactive, but contains positive reviews of my work.

I am a proud member of the Etsy BeadWeavers Team. Search EBW TEAM for more beautiful beadwoven creations or visit our blog for links to all members’ shops: http://etsy-beadweavers.blogspot.com

Thank you for visiting me!

Originally there had been communication problems between me and the seller because the seller had serious health issues and was not able to put her shop into vacation mode. Once the seller became aware of the situation, she apologized and MORE than made up for the problem in the form of extra little perks for me. The necklace is absolutely gorgeous - everything I had expected it to be! I'm big into Kumihimo these days, the colors of the beads are fabulous, and I am also very fond of copper, so how could I go wrong? Laura very graciously redeemed herself in my eyes. And, of course, I'm thrilled with my lovely necklace. Thank you, Laura, for an ultimately satisfying conclusion to the situation. I wish you happiness and, most of all, good health!!!! :) :) Cheryl in NJ

My name is Laura Rebecca Silverman and I make one-of-a-kind jewelry. With a background in fiber arts which includes dying and blending my own fibers as well as spinning yarns before making finished pieces, I developed an eye for combining colors rare within the beading community. I mostly specialize in working with seed beads combined with other materials and am exceptionally good at achieving transitional colors from just a few basic colors of seed beads.

I make jewelry as my passion rather than my main source of income; with that luxury, I am able to take my time and explore new ways of presenting my work to you. I work with the best materials available to me and hope that the quality of my finished products speaks for itself when it arrives at your home.
