ARTLOVEAMY is on a mission to transform lives through art & wellness!

My shop transpired from the desire to live wholeheartedly, passionately through my gifts. The key ingredients that cultivate this organized chaos of joy (a.k.a. ArtLOVEAmy) are grace, grit, compassion, coffee, and an abundant joy for learning. I am a self taught artist on a mission to transform lives through my art and by my passion for mind/body/soul wellness.

I am a corporate coach and trainer for 15 years turned artist. My educational background in counseling, education, behavioral therapy and human resources blesses me with the opportunity to serve those seeking change and transformation in a multitude of settings: organizations, executives, foremen, front line leaders, schools, communities, and children with special needs.

ArtLOVEAmy capitalizes on my work experience while integrating my love for art. Art came calling for me when I was seeking an outlet for self-care. As a coach, self-care is non-negotiable but as a mom to twin boys, it's not always easy. Just talking on the phone or reading a book can be impossible, but picking up a pencil works for me! A little sketch each day affords the space for “me time,” while still being present as a mom. Each sketch provides relaxation and intrigue at the same time---a respite for my heart and fuel for my brain.

To be honest, art was much more than a creative outlet for me. Over time, a slow-building realization emerged that forever changed my life. When I began, I was working with a boy with special needs. For consistency, each day began the very same way with a smile and a warm "hello;" however, in return, I received little if any response. Through his behaviors, he seemed to be someplace else. My heart went out to this child who was missing one of the most basic connections two people can have, just by extending a simple greeting and a smile. For two months, a variety of behavioral interventions were used in an attempt to teach him the meaning of “hello.” Painstakingly, little to no gain was made as the days went by. It wasn't until after we decided to add a picture of two people waving to the lesson plan that something visibly changed. The very next morning, I entered the room and I did my traditional greeting: smile and a warm “hello." But this time, this time was different. He was standing in the middle of the room with his arms outstretched as wide as his smile and bellowed “Heeeeellllloooooo!” for all to hear! This was the “it” moment of my entire career. The joy erupted through me, and I actually felt like I could burst a million hearts of gratitude. But the glory was all this child. It was in him all along. I just showed him a picture!

It was in that moment that a simple picture took on a new and inspirational meaning for me---my passion for something bigger began to emerge. I was LIT. ON. FIRE! I was ALL IN. That day pictures and their significance touched my heart in such a way that I knew I had to celebrate them every day. How amazing is it that a single picture can provide sacred space for a child to learn, grow, communicate, sooth, express, and connect! And just as this child was in the dark when it came to social greetings, so too aren’t we all in the dark somehow, somewhere?

I designed ArtLoveAmy with a pallet of paints entitled: Robust love for learning, well-versed training background, business savvy, and a passion to support those seeking change/wellness/growth.

My Vision for ArtLoveAmy is transforming lives through art and wellness.

And I do this in a variety of ways:

Bringing joy & love into your living spaces through art

Sharing wellness insights connected to my art pieces so to optimize meaning & your experience

Creating art that reflects joyfulness and connection

Infusing feng shui either in my art or via sharing insights

Donating a percentage of proceeds to charities that are transparent (like my watercolors) and that actively pursue ways to reduce overhead so that the money truly gets into the hands of the people that need it.

Optimizing the purchase of art to the highest level possible---so everyone wins. We win as individuals as the customer, as me (the small business owner), as a person-in-need, and collectively as a whole through ArtLoveAmy outreach, charity awareness, and responsiveness.

Frequently asked questions
Custom and personalized orders

Currently taking custom orders! I specialize in portraits using graphite and/or mix media (graphite + ink/watercolor). My style is free-hand, impressionist resulting in capturing the "likeness" of a person, place or thing with a unique twist. If you are looking for "realism" or "preciseness" of a person, place or thing..I recommend seeking another artist with that specialty.
