I was born in Colón, Republic of Panamá. I began drawing at an early age and over the years developed a love of painting to meet my need for new and diverse artwork as I constantly redecorated my home. Following a major health scare, and prompting from family and friends, I decided to share my love of painting outside of my home.

I’m self-taught and greatly enjoy the creative process and testing the limits of my imagination. My style and themes are diverse as I’m inspired by any and everything: textures, color, shapes, nature and movement.

My trademark color of black is accented by the lively colors used in many of my paintings, homage to the richness of my Latin and Caribbean heritage. I work primarily with acrylics, using gels and molding paste for texture, and glitter and metallic paint for added pizzazz.

I hold a B.S. in Mass Communications and an M.B.A. in Healthcare Management. My pursuit of a PhD is on indefinite hold while I still juggle a full-time career, motherhood and just life in general. My goal is to eventually paint professionally on a full-time basis and encourage other self-taught artists.
