Announcement   arton ♥ children and their art

art starts in the heart, so we started a project! we print children's art, and work in collaboration with the Art of Giving to help other children in need here at home and across the globe. it is Arton's mission to keep artwork in the lives of our youth, and with the help of the Art of Giving, teach children about the beauty of helping others and what a real difference they can make in the world.

the Arton Collection Project collects children's artwork. we print this artwork on soft cozy cotton using environmentally friendly inks. we include the artist's name and age in every design we print.

we ask each child to write a little story about their artwork and then we showcase their stories on our website so you know a little bit more about the young artist.

www.artoncollection.org

the arton collection works with the Art of Giving, our sister non-profit, to raise money that will help children in need all over the world. together we host art camps and workshops for kids, providing them with all the necessary materials to be child artists for the day. then if they would like to, they can donate some of their creations to help us in our endeavor. we give children the opportunities to help other children and experience how good that really feels! we call it "children helping children."

the Arton Collection Project strongly believes that bringing students more opportunities in the arts and giving them the opportunity to help other children will make a positive difference in every aspect of their lives.

I am in love with this mug! I also went onto www.artoncollection.com, and I like that the purchases support young artists. I fully intend to buy more items and I am thinking about submitting some of my children's work. Thank you so much!

About

I print children's art on t-shirts because it makes me happy and it makes them happy.

my main inspiration: whether you are looking at it or creating it, art works to make people better. i've experienced that first hand in my life; i think a lot of people have. there are no words to adequately describe just how good we feel when we have created something we feel proud of, when we have expressed ourselves in just the right way.

i don't know what kind of artist i am exactly, but i do love creating new things, getting crafty, writing, and dancing in my living room. and there is nothing i like more than being inspired, the feeling i get when i first think of an idea and know that i am going to make it happen. i really wanted to make the Arton Collection happen.

i've never met anyone who could read a child's handwritten note or look at a child's drawing and not feel something. children's art makes us laugh, and sometimes it makes us cry. most of the time it just makes us feel really good.

that's the idea behind the Arton Collection Project : to honor and share the work of young artists because their art makes people happy.

from the start i knew that i wanted to make my company a company that gives back and as of March 2012 we officially partnered with the Art of Giving Foundation. the AOG is a beautiful organization working to give kids more opportunities in the arts while raising money to help other children in need. i began volunteering with the foundation, working in a child development center, teaching and planning art programs for children in los angeles. the art of giving teaches kids about empathy, compassion, that it makes a person feel good to give back. we give kids opportunities to use their art skills to help raise money for children in need. the AOG calls it "children helping children" and i am so proud to be a part of that :) the Arton Collection Project supports the Art of Giving by happily donating 10% of all proceeds to the Foundation.

check out our website and our facebook page to find out how a child in your life can submit artwork and be a part of our project! or just check it out because you feel like a dose of children's art might be just what the doctor ordered.... we mostly just like to make people smile.
