I create nature-inspired designs from my photographs and digitally print them on ethical and sustainable natural eco-textiles such as hemp, linen, cotton, and wool that are certified organic and free of harmful substances. I use a waterless printing process and certified biodegradable, non-toxic inks. As a digital eco-artist, I celebrate infinite intelligence, the metamorphosis of the human experience, and the connection with the natural way of life.

Each design begins with a wilderness adventure, carefully observing the environment’s elegance. Brilliant colors, patterns, textures, and the intelligence of the surroundings inspires the imagination with conceptual visions. Once a unique phenomenon is witnessed, the subject is thoroughly examined and documented with digital imagery. These images are taken back to the studio to be cataloged and organized. Individual images are meticulously customized using digital tools and artistically arranged with software to create unique compositions. The appropriate natural eco-textile is selected, and designs are prepared for digital printing.

In 2003, I was developing my photography skills and using liquid emulsion to print on textiles. When I discovered digital textile printing in 2008, I was fascinated with how the technology could assist my creative expression and support a more environmentally friendly process. I began questioning the origins and manufacturing practices of the textiles I used. My in-depth questioning and desire to never give up guided me to explore this ethical and sustainable art form. My connections with the global eco-textile community confirmed my belief that natural eco-textiles support the health of people and the planet.

Ethical and sustainable natural eco-textiles such as hemp, linen, cotton, and wool certified organic and free of harmful substances can be exceptionally rare and require considerable time to source. Low minimum custom ethical and sustainable digital textile printing is equally challenging to procure. I have spent over a decade educating and dedicating myself to building relationships with expert natural eco-textile suppliers and digital textile printing partners. Throughout my journey, I have successfully acquired sources for the most ethical and sustainable natural eco-textiles and digital textile printing processes globally.

I am an award-winning artist, photographer, and published writer. I hold a Master of Business Administration with Honors, a Bachelor of Science in Education with Honors, and an Associate of Arts in Photography. Currently, I am working on two Arizona Commission on the Arts grant projects. The Artist Opportunity Grant project has assisted me in acquiring the BioGeometry Foundation Training to elevate my knowledge of this subtle energy science. The Research and Development Grant project is focused on digital eco-textile printing and was made possible by the Arizona Community Foundation, with funding from the Newton and Betty Rosenzweig Fund for the Arts. I am an Arizona Department of Education Family and Consumer Sciences Industry Advisory Board member, former founding Executive Director of the Arizona Sustainable Apparel Association, and former Surface Design Association Arizona Regional Marketing and Advertising Committee Chair.
