about Ashley

I was raised in a house full of artistic talent, and spent most of my formative years fingerpainting and coloring outside of the lines. Making art has always been an integral part of who I am. I love to explore different techniques and types of media.

In 2005, I graduated from the Savannah College of Art and Design with a Masters of Architecture. I worked in the field of architecture for 4 years, where I learned hand-rendering techniques from experienced in-house architectural illustrators. This method comes out in many of my illustrations, as crisp hand-drawings with a focus on accuracy and detail.

Currently, my work is an exploration of the details of how things are put together - whether it be the tuning pegs of a violin, or the keystone over a window in an old building. Each joint and mechanism of an object is like a little jewel - a beautiful vignette of how something works.

Thank you for browsing... and remember to stop & enjoy life's little details.
