About AshtonAtelier
Welcome to Ashton Atelier!
I was born and raised in Louisiana in a family of creative people -- directors, photographers and designers to name a few. It was hard to find something that fully held my attention long because there were so many choices. I enjoyed being a part of it all.
Growing up, I always wanted to follow in my two older sisters footsteps -- literally. I was always trying on their high heels and attempting to walk. It was my goal to have as many, if not more, fantastic shoes as they both did. Meanwhile, my true appreciation of the arts kept expanding.
In high school, I entered the Talented Art program. My teacher/mentor there saw that my true talents lay in painting, portraiture in particular. She encouraged me to focus my work there and so I did. That eventually included landscapes, murals and other paintings.
I accidently fell into painting shoes -- I answered one request where my love for shoes and art were combined. It was perfect! When that was successful, I decided to expand on the idea. Ladies especially started taking notice whenever I walk around in my own growing hand painted shoe collection. Gradually, Ashton Atelier continues to grow and now I'm thrilled to say that I help make art fashionable and fun.

Do you provide the shoes? Or have shoes in stock?
No, you provide the shoes. That ensures you get the size that's needed in a style that's loved.
What kind of shoes should I send?
As long as your shoes aren't flats (unless its a special order) and have a smooth sole, you can send any shoe you're comfortable wearing. The color of the soles/bottoms don't matter either. If you're unsure about a pair, feel free to send me a pic.
Do you ship outside of the US?
Yes, I do! If your country isn't shown in the list, please send me a message.
For EU and international customers (those outside of the U.S.), please note that you will be responsible to pay any customs duties, taxes, fees or VAT charged by your particular country. Since I am a seller in the U.S., these amounts (including VAT) are NOT included in the amount you paid for your item(s) and are not the responsibility of Etsy or Ashton Atelier (seller).
Will my shoes be protected?
I add a "water resistant" coating on top of the painting for better protection.
I'd like to get something else painted, (ie: a purse, a canvas, sneakers, etc) can you do that?
I sure can! I love painting custom orders! Please message me for what you'd like to get done.
How do I choose my size?
You provide the shoes. That way ensures you get the size you need in a style you love.
I don't see a design I want. Do you take requests?
Yes, I do! If you have a certain image in mind or an idea, feel free to contact me.
How do I send my shoes?
Right after your purchase, I'll provide the address for where to send the shoes. I'll let you know when they arrive, send a pic when they're done and ship them back.
How can I contact you?
