Handmade. By us.
Our Etsy shop started back in 2009 when Chris decided to see if he could sell some of the pens he enjoyed turning. It gradually grew into offering other items.
Our goods are all handmade, by us, in our garage workshop. There is no outsourcing or mass manufacturing. Our shop is a part-time hobby for us. We enjoy making one-of-a-kind houseware items like our travel mugs and barware. Most of our handmade buttons are made with wood we find in our own suburban yard and neighborhood. We don't have access to a wooded lot that gives us large quantities for factory-like production. But our small batches of buttons provide other makers with a truly unique embellishment for their projects, with the added bonus of creating something beautiful from material that would otherwise be part of the waste stream.

Chris
Owner, Maker
Chris became interested in woodworking as a boy spending time in his grandfather's shop. If his grand-dad was still with us, he would be proud to see what Chris can make and a bit envious of his tool collection.

Tanya
Owner, Photography, Writing, Shipping, Voice Of Reason
Tanya's primary function is to be Chris' enabler. She lets him buy whatever tool he wants, with the caveat that he teach her how to use it. She makes most of the buttons and handles the photography, item listings, and shipping.

We cannot offer returns or exchanges on face masks because of health and hygiene reasons.
If an item arrives broken or damaged, please let us know. Provide us with a photograph of the damaged item (and the packaging too, if relevant). Once we have photos of the damage and can see what went wrong, we will work with you to arrange a replacement or a refund.
If an order doesn't arrive in a timely manner, please let us know so we can track it in the postal system. If a package is lost, we can offer a refund or a replacement order.
If an item is damaged or broken after you have received it and unpacked it in an undamaged condition, we do not owe you a return or a refund, unless the damage resulted from a fault in our construction or materials. If you drop it on a concrete floor, if your dog chews on it, if your spouse throws it out the window, etc., we do not owe you a free replacement or a refund. To put it bluntly, if you bought it and you break it, it's yours.

Shipping
Please verify the accuracy of your address when you place your order. If you provide an incorrect address and your order is returned to us, we will ask you to pay the shipping fee needed to ship your order again.
If you need an item by a certain date, please send a convo before you order so we can work out the most efficient shipping method to get your order delivered on time.
Our standard shipping for items over 13 ounces is USPS Priority Mail Flat Rate just to make things simple.
Small items under 13 ounces are sent USPS First Class.
We no longer sell outside the US due to misunderstandings over customs regulations, fees, and taxes.
Additional policies and FAQs
We occasionally take requests for custom orders. We do ask that custom orders be paid for in advance before we begin the work.
IF YOU WISH TO REQUEST A CUSTOM ITEM FOR A WEDDING OR OTHER SPECIAL EVENT, please contact us at least four weeks before you need the item. Etsy is not a full-time job for us. We only have weekends to work in our shop, so we need as much time as possible to create custom orders with a deadline.
