Beautifully crafted. Great attention to detail. Feels like an artisan piece and not mass produced. Love it!!

About

The story in clay

I was born and raised in LIthuania where I was first introduced to clay in elementary school. I have a graduate degree in ceramics from Vilnius Academy of Art. Soon after graduating I moved to the United States and settled in New York. I pursued studies in graphic design at the Fashion Institute of Technology earning a BFA in graphic design. After a 10-year hiatus from clay and career in advertising I started creating pottery again.

I currently live and work in Kew Gardens, NY and work on my pottery in a lovely communal studio in Kew Gardens, The Potter's Wheel.

In my pottery I combine organic forms and motifs with geometric ornaments and abstract designs — flowers, bids, trees —I have a diverse range of influences. Nature plays a large role as inspiration in my pottery as well as historical Japanese ceramics and art, medieval manuscripts and Art Nouveau period art.
