Wonderful cotton knitted wash cloths which brighten my bathroom. Love the color, love the workmanship, love the very nice packaging, and they feel great on my skin. Will be back for more. Thanks for the quality.

About

Handmade for comfort and relaxation

I barely remember making some gold wide-wale corduroy pillows for my dad one Christmas when I was a child. I must have used the sewing machine at my grandmother's house - she was the teacher. I don't know if I used a pattern or just figured it out, but I loved making them and sharing them.

Teaching the knitting was a less successful endeavor for grandma, that scarf was Doctor Who long, green, and varied in width by about 4 inches all along the way. Took me a little longer to figure that one out.

As an adult, I've made many a costume for the stage that included stays, starches, and various levels of padding in an assortment of body areas. But I tired of fittings and alterations, and just wanted to relax. But I couldn't stop sewing, so I took that desire for calm and turned it into items that help others achieve that same goal.

It started with quilting - at one time all by hand. Learning how to machine quilt opened up a world of possibilities (and quite frankly, doesn't take nearly as long). But lately I've gone back to work that is hand quilted, and often hand stitched. I just love the process, and I find it meditative. You'll find quilts of both types here.

I picked up my knitting and crocheting needles again, and love fabricating easy, yet luxurious pieces that keep you clean and keep you warm.

I not only love needle arts, but I NEED needle arts! It has made its way into my bones, and I learned how to combine it with two of my favorite words -- "soft" and "warm".

Close your eyes and breathe deep.

Welcome! I've had lots of jobs that include fabric and fiber - from theatrical costumer to factory piecework pizza bag maker. But I love making things that I like best, and I am here to share them with you. Enjoy!
