I love how she turned out!!!! Thank you so much for making her and I hope to get another one for her birthday in July. I posted this pictures and a link on my Instagram page and some Facebook groups so I hope you get some more business 😊
Everything Old is New Again.
I love old things. I love the quality and the craft that went into making them. For years I would ride in the back of our station wagon as my parents went from auction to estate sales to country antique stores. By the end of the day I was crammed in between boxes of old books and bric-a-brac and the legs of oak chairs and walnut tables.
I loved every minute of it.
I still do. Every sign I see at the side of the road for a tag sale, garage sale a moving sale tugs at my heart. The thrill of the hunt, the surprising discovery of a treasure, the stories of the people and the items just make me happy.
but unless I want to end up on a episode of hoarders, or have to buy a very big house, there is just not enough room for everything I would want to display.
My Etsy shop has become a way to share some of the things I find with other people who love them as much as I do. I named it Astoria Farm in honor of my Grandmother who taught me how to sew, knit and crochet, things I still love to do.
So I have started to include handmade items I have made myself. I love making things and I love the things I make, but I can't possibly keep them all. Well, I can, but it would become very crowded around here.

I have always lived a creative life & I have my Mother and Grandmother to thank for that. Aside from teaching me how sew , knit and crochet, every weekend I was flung into the back of our station wagon for drives to country auctions and flea markets.
It's so sad that so many beautiful old things aren't used any more in modern day life.
Here at the farm, we love beautiful old vintage linens and use them every day, but so much of it sits waiting in a cupboard for a special occasion so we decided to put them to practical use by re-purposing & up-cylcing them. We take unique, one of kind vintage linen and turn them into decorative re-usable totes, pillows, aprons & pot holders.
We also find lovely old items to compliment your vintage (or modern) decor - mostly because our house is too small to keep every lovely thing we find!
