Sweet Pea Boutique's Bloom

Sweet Pea Boutique was inspired by and is named after my own little sweet pea, my daughter Kinsey. When Kinsey was born, I gave up my career in public relations to be a stay-at-home mom. Let's be honest, I was bored and needed something to keep myself busy. So I resurected the sewing skills my own mother taught me as a young girl and started making things for my own daughter. This blossomed into creating all kinds of adorable items for little ones.

My creations are inspired by the concept of dressing little boys and girls like miniature versions of adults. I dress Kinsey "to the 9s" every day (my husband says I think she is a dress-up doll)! There's no need for little girls to wear babyish prints when they look adorable in bold fabrics and what little boy doesn't look dashing in a bow tie?

I also make a couple of items for children with special needs. Kinsey is my inspiration for these items as well. Kinsey has Trisomy 18, or simply put, too much of chromosome 18. It's a miracle that she is here and growing and learning and doing new things every day!

Every item in the shop is hand-made to order with great care and attention.

Sometimes it is possible to rush an order. If you are in a rush, please inquire prior to placing your order.

Accepted payment methods

You do not need to sign up for Paypal to purchase from my shop. Paypal will process your credit card or e-check without signing up for a Paypal account. Be sure to follow the link from your Etsy order to Paypal where you can complete your transaction. You will receive an e-mail from Paypal confirming that payment has been made.

Note that e-checks generally take a week to clear through Paypal. Your order production time will begin once payment is complete.

Orders unpaid for more than 3 days may be cancelled. If you are having trouble checking out please let me know. I am here to help.
All items come attractively wrapped in tissue.

Please be sure to enter your desired shipping address. Packages will ship to the address provided upon check out.

Domestic are shipped USPS First Class mail. All Domestic packages are shipped with delivery confirmation.

If you would like to upgrade your shipping, please send me a conversation to discuss your options.

If you are on a tight timeframe I recommend Express mail. The US Postal service estimates transit time for Priority mail packages as 3 days within the US but it can take longer. We can also upgrade shipping to Express mail or Fed-Ex Express upon request. If you are interested in upgrading to Express delivery please contact us for a shipping quote.

International orders ship via USPS Priority International Mail. Priority International Mail is neither insurable or trackable. I am happy to upgrade your shipping to Global Express mail which is trackable. If you are interested in this shipping upgrade, please contact me for a shipping quote prior to purchase. Please note, we are not responsible for any customs fees or taxes and these fees are not included in the shipping cost. Custom's fees and import taxes are the sole responsibility of the buyer.


Priority International packages generate a label # that is not trackable. If you would like your shipment to have tracking an upgrade to Express mail or Global Express Guaranteed will be necessary.

Shipping times can vary depending on your location. There is no way to accurately predict when your package will arrive. The US Postal Service estimates 10 to 14 days transit time for Priority mail packages but this can vary greatly. Delays in customs and at the border can increase the transit time and International orders, even those to Canada, can take 6 weeks or more to arrive. If you need your item for a specific date, please order early or consider an upgrade to Express mail.
Refunds and Exchanges
Customer service is a priority for Sweet Pea Boutique. I want you to love your Sweet Pea Boutique item as much as I enjoy making it. If you are not satisfied, please contact me right away.

Embroidered items, customized items, orders using your fabric or a fabric we pick together and special order for you are not returnable. If you are interested in a large set for your wedding I recommend ordering one necktie to be sure the fabric and style match your color story.

Returns of new, unworn items are accepted up to 15 days from the date your item arrives. You will be responsible for the cost of return shipping. A refund (not including shipping) will be issued once the item is received back at Sweet Pea Boutique. I do not accept returns for exchange or refund without prior communication and if feedback is given. Failure to contact me immediately upon receipt of the item and/or leaving feedback implies acceptance of the transaction as is. Please do get in touch, I am committed to creating a quality product and providing excellent service and if there is an issue I know we can work together to find a solution.

Lost packages: In the rare event that a package goes missing, please note that before a refund is issued, a claim will be filed with the postal service and photographic proof will be required for damaged items.

Additional policies and FAQs
Sweet Pea Boutique welcomes custom orders. I would love to work with you to create an accessory that best expresses your personal style.
Listings for made-to-order items feature photos from previously sold items made from the same material. This means that the exact placement of the fabric pattern will probably vary from the listing photograph. For smaller striped or checked patterns the difference should be basically unnoticeable.
All pieces are created by hand, so no two items are identical that’s the beauty of the product! Please allow for slight variances from what is shown in the made to order photos.

Photos can also show a variance in the color of the product due to the light. Computer monitors also create a wide variance in color shades. Sweet Pea Boutique does not guarantee your item will look the same exact shade in person as it does on your computer. If you’re trying to match an exact color, please contact us in advance for guidance.

When you place your order you will receive an e-mail from Etsy that includes a personal note from me. This e-mail serves as confirmation for your order and you will not receive an additional e-mail from me unless there is a question about your order. Feel free to contact me via Etsy conversations of course if you have any questions.

Orders may only be cancelled within 36 hours of placing an order (12 hours in the case of a RUSH order). If you desire to cancel your order beyond that timeframe, we will issue a refund minus a 30% restocking fee.

You will also receive a payment confirmation e-mail from Paypal. If you do not receive this e-mail, you may not have completed your payment.

I do answer all e-mails and Etsy conversations personally and strive to do this in a timely manner.
