Modern approach to the Holidays
Atelier: the French word for Workshop
With a background in architecture, I am drawn to anything with clean lines, a fresh look, and an overall sense of design. This is also the basic theme for my creative business.
After graduating in 2000 with a Masters Degree in Architecture, I have practiced in both Boston, MA and Washington, DC for the last 12 years with a focus on multi-family housing in urban contexts. As a hobby, and to exercise my design muscle in a different way, I started designing my own line of Greeting Cards to give to friends and family. I then discovered the joy of making books by hand using traditional book binding techniques while making my very first Wedding Book for a dear friend. A few years into the hobby, I decided to take it to the next level as a business. This has really challenged me to create a clean and cohesive line of products ranging from Note Cards to Wedding Guest Books to Baby Photo Brag Books.
In my small studio in Arlington,VA just outside of Washington, DC I constantly strive for unique and modern designs by continuing to make all my products with the highest standard of quality and craft. I take pride in creating my line of books and designing note cards as part of the handmade movement. It's rewarding to know that I cut every piece of paper, glued every board, punched every hole, and creased every line to create a beautifully crafted book. I continue to design new products with the hopes of seeing them on the shelves of local shops that believe in the handmade movement as much as I do.

Living in Arlington just outside Washington, DC I currently practice architecture but have a love of paper and craft. Handcrafting books and designing stationery is my design outlet and I love every minute of it!
